It would be very lucky for the Lakers if Sengun is really out.

AD won't be playing tomorrow on a 2nd night of a back2back

I'm usually not down with not playing AD back to back. We almost have to win out in order to have a shot. I understand the chances are slim to none and slim got fat that we bring home the Larry O'Brien this season so I reluctantly go with it. We're finding enough about this team that warrants looking forward to next season without doing more damage to Bron and AD. If Bron's not 100% I'd think about playing him limited minutes the rest of this season. We're playing very well without him. Now is a great time to see if AD can carry a team. I personally don't think he has the mindset but Hell, Who Am I?

I'm surprised the Lakers are favored by 3.5 in Vegas.

I don’t think it’s AD that wants to sit out. Seems like the medical staff thinks any added stress on that injury will re-aggravate.

But I agree with you on him carrying a team. I think it’s pretty clear he’s not a 1. He’s the best 2 (when available) you will find just because when he’s up for it, he’s unstoppable.

It seems like they should be favored by a lot more.

I understand the bold green and agree. I won't call AD injury prone, I shelf him as fragile. I wouldn't risk any further injury to him THIS SEASON. It's not worth the risk.

In spite of having one semi-big available on the Lakers roster tonight I think the unstoppable force will prevail and the Lakers will reach .500.

Let's hope so! GO LAKERS!!!

The problematic dude I could see is that beefy Garuba dude.

I think this will ultimately come down to how much the Rockets want to tank. We will have a good idea based on the minutes allocation and if athletic baby Jokic is a go.

The Rockets just beat a healthy Boston team.

that was my first thought, Lakers better not have a let down,

Ham needs to MOTIVATE

Davis needs to play...

A win = .500....!

I read something saying the the bottom three teams all have the same chances in the lotto drawing so they don't have to tank anymore or something to that effect.

Could they win themselves out of the bottom three? That would be a problem

it was some reply on Reddit but I found the piece here
Quote:
WHAT IS THE FORMAT FOR THE DRAFT LOTTERY?
The NBA Board of Governors approved changes to the lottery system on Sept. 28, 2017. Under the revamped format (which began with the 2019 Draft), the NBA Draft Lottery will ensure that the team with the worst record will receive no worse than the fifth pick. Under the pre-2019 system, the team with the worst record would pick no lower than fourth.

The new system will level the odds at the top of the NBA Draft Lottery so that the teams with the three worst regular-season records will each have a 14 percent chance of winning the lottery. In the pre-2019 structure, the top seed had a 25 percent of winning the lottery, the second seed had a 19.9 percent and the third seed had a 15.6 percent.

After drawings are conducted for the first four picks of the NBA Draft, the other lottery teams will continue to pick in inverse order of their regular-season record..

Yes, and assuming Senquin is out (I hope) I'd expect Garuba will get a lot more minutes than he's used to. He's a bit inexperienced, a lot thicker than Gabriel though.

On one hand, I'm happy to see Houston just beat Boston. On the other hand, I'm a wee bit concerned that Houston just beat Boston. Makes it interesting - we'll see.

Houston caught Boston on an off night. I hope they don't catch us the same way. As unleasHell posted Ham has to motivate.

Just FYI Sengun isn't ruled all the way out yet. LGSRS is still on the table.

Likely hear in about 45 minutes. Rockets doing the pregame walk-through as we speak, rather than shootaround. That's when he was ruled out on Monday so TBD for a little while more. Still listed as questionable.
