Core 7:

- LeBron
- AD
- DLO
- Reaves
- Vando
- Schröder
- Rui

3 of the 7 will be UFA next season: Reaves, Rui, Schröder.

Looking at comments, sad when fans are debating on who of the 3 probably goes or who stays? But as long as they’re paid their worth, why can’t all 3 stay? As long as they’re paid their value, they’ll most likely stay a Laker.

If Jeanie didn’t want to cheapen out, like she did Caruso or Monk, she can write the checks to keep all 3. If not, then who will Lakers sign on a cheaper contract next season to replace any of these 3 player’s production that they didn’t want to pay for?

Schroder and TBJ have no bird rights. There is no check to write there.

We have Christie to take over for TBJ tho, and we have a 1st and 2nd round pick to replace Schroder.

We can go over the cap to keep DLo, AR, Rui as we have their bird rights. Vando, Mamba and Malik have team options. To keep DS, he will have to accept TPMLE which is supposed to be around 7M. As Megaton said, we don't have bird rights for DS and Troy.

No. Please, no.

We finally have a chance to rebuild with draft picks and cap space this summer and you want Jeanie to pay $350 million for a play-in team.

Not sure what kinda market will be there for Schro and TB. They're like decent players but not consistent.

We're 14-7 since DLO, Vanderbilt and Beasley debuted, and most of those games we've been without LeBron and/or DLO.

We could be a legit championship contender with this team, especially next season after a full training camp together, and especially if we replace Beasley with a 3-and-D wing who can comfortably play the 2 and 3.

I would also add Mo Bamba to the core Nash Vegas mentioned. We really need Bamba's 3-point shooting and shot blocking.

Give Westbtick a full season with Clippers and Ballmer will be writing 350 M cheques for a non-play off team. Lakers are cleaning Westbrick mess with just 30% of the season remaining after trade deadline. From 13th to 7th in that span is a huge upgrade already.

Do you think we can keep DS through a sign and trade. Maybe Beasley as one to trade?

what play-in team are you saying? Obviously the current roster isn't just a play-in team, they have a good record after the trade and that is them playing mostly without Bron. A full season of this team they will be on top of the stamdings.

Rules don't allow such trades.

I don’t know if it works like THAT, but that would be interesting.

Reaves should be the focus.

If we can get TBJ, that’s nice.

I don’t think we can bring Schroder back.

You do so love to describe the Lakers as "a play-in team", I think if we close the one-game gap and get into the 6th spot, you will be royally ticked off that we make the playoffs outright.

It will depend on how far we go in the playoffs:

1 - If we win it all, LBJ will have 5 rings . . . and MJ has 6. The hype to repeat AND have LBJ catch MJ in what is potentially LeBron's last Lakers season will be monumental. The Lakers will spend on their own guys to retain the team.

2 - If we go deep (2nd round/conference finals), the Lakers will have a dilemma - do they run it back, or do they look at what will likely be an extremely robust trade market? What do AD & LBJ push for - a full year of the same guys, or a reset with Kyrie, Harden, Dame, etc.? Do they get a big to pair with AD (John Collins)?

3 - If we lose early (play-in/1st round), all bets are off. Reaves will almost certainly be back. Everyone one else will depend on what's left after the Lakers get whatever third star they can acquire.

Reaves:
- Pay him Jeanie.

Schröder:
- Really want him back. Had games where he carried the team when LeBron and DLO were out and AD was being passive. Who else is gonna roll the ball on the backcourt to kill time on the clock and piss off the opposition?

Brown Jr:
- Technically our only 3&D wing. I would like him back on a decent contract, if not, Max Christie come on down!

You mean Mark as in Mark Cuban for a play-in team like the Mavericks. The LAKERS are a title contender.

We have MLE to use for DS and we can trade out our FRP for future ones and save 4-5 mil

Can't trade this FRP - but we can trade the player we draft with it.

I know they're more of a luxury but I'd really like to bring back Wenyen and Mo as well. Wenyen helps maintain that hustle and defensive intensity. And I just love the ideal of Mo and AD on the court together; I'm still lamenting that we haven't seen it yet.
