I think it’s a pretty good sign that every single clip of him he’s knocking down multiple shots in a row without missing. Sure they are catch and shoot situations from the corners but if he can do that and play defense the way he was projected to when drafted he can crack the rotation. I love Gabe but his shooting is not always there. _________________ “like I never left”
I am hoping JHS can compete for that backup point guard spot. If he can show enough in training camp to make lakers confident that he can handle those minutes. They can allow Vincent to play a month or so to reclaim his trade value and use him to get a center.
Maybe
Wendell Carter jr
For
Gabe Vincent, max lewis and a first. _________________ “like I never left”

Do you honestly think that he would post video of him bricking shots? _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023.
But the bias people have is always apparent to their reaction to off season videos. When it's a player they like they gas it up, when it's a player they've already decided about they'll always search for an excuse to diminish it. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

He has posted raw footage of him missing, while also making shots in a row.
His shot looks a lot better when he gets his legs into it. Will be key to shoot with balance and thrust from the ground up. Easy to do that in summer shooting drills, less so in NBA action. Young players sometimes speed up and shoot before they're really set because the length and speed of NBA defenses requires adjusting to.

Was watching Mamba Mentality and this scene reminded me of how I saw JHS... he is young his back will heal quickly and with the Love from his team and fans he will excel
I timed it at 548s 9:08 second mark if it doesn't come through there..
rewind a little where Charlie Rose asks Kobe what he loves about basketball and it is a perfect snippet into why we loved him and what made him so special ..
Quote:
"That one thing that you can expect from me is to go all out at all times," he told Rose. "Long as I can strap my [own] sneakers up and I can go out there and play, I'm going to give you guys 110 percent always, you know, till the day I retire."

I’ll never understand guys working out in sweatpants. Work out in clothes you’d wear in a game. That means basketball shorts.
His shot still doesn’t look very clean to me. He pushes the ball. And it’s a slow release. But I don’t think he’s a catch and shoot guy. He needs to be able to dribble penetrate in the half court, and prevent dribble penetration if he’s going to be an NBA player

Laker fans will complain about absolutely anything . _________________ It was reminiscent of one of those Most Interesting Man in the World advertisements: "I don't always shoot 6-for-28 from the field, but when I do, I become the youngest player in league history to score 28,000 career points."
His shot looks funky. One of the few times I have been less confident in a guy a after posting a clip of nothing but makes.
Atleast he is working on catch and shoot shots. Last year he was much more comfortable off the bounce. _________________ "He's a Zen master, so he can speak to you, and he doesn't need a microphone; you can hear him in your head, 'Ron, don't shoot, don't shoot.' JHS is a smart, big strong kid, I hope he can figure it all out because he needs to show significant improvement from last season.
After all he was a 1st rounder.
He needs to focus on defense and rebounding as well as his offensive game.
I'm sure he's put in the work and he expects to show what he can do to help the team right now.
Hopefully he and Max will make a leap this season.
I really don’t like how they made JHS do his interview with Lewis. I also don’t like how they made Knecht do his with Bronny. _________________ “like I never left”

I wasn’t trying to single out JHS. I see lots of YouTube videos of NBA guys working out or playing pickup in sweat pants. Makes no sense to me. If you are trying to improve, you need to replicate everything the same from practice to games. I see dudes I guess trying to look cool in lounge pants going 5 on 5 wondering wtf are they even doing
