Lewis has an NBA body. That guy is strong and big. Ignoring their ultimate ceilings, I think Lewis may be more nba ready than Christie was last year and JSH is now.
We looked at the same guy?
He's 6'7" 195 ... not what I think of as big and strong
they drafted 2 3&D guys, I think they can contribute immediately

Naw fam. They're not contributing this year.
We're in trouble if we need them.
We definitely won't need them but we are a middle of the pack team so we might as well start developing them in spots to begin the transition for the 2024-2025 season and beyond.
The roster that ended last season was definitely upper tier.
I don't think we'll be a middle of the pack team this year.
We had a soft schedule and had good playoff pairings until we faced Denver. Our shooting and health woes are very real. We are 6th seed, maybe 5th. Maybe 1-2 rounds. That's middle of the pack insofar as cap, health/age and asset restrictions limit progression beyond that but lack of pure suckage delays the true rebuild. Try to see what assets you have while the team stays decent so you can forge ahead when the current stars finally leave/retire.
Thanks for letting me know
I can skip the season now

Not every second round pick is going to be an immediate impact guy like Austin Reaves he could do with some G league time, but Brandon Ingram did just fine being sleight of build

Lol. You can't win every year. You root for your team even if you know they aren't a top contender.

BI was also 6'9" and no one classified him as strong.
I like what I saw in the highlight reel. Pleasantly surprise w/his vertical and long wingspan
I understand there are some red flags with this guy.. but my god do his highlights pop off the screen. Super long and athletic at 6'7, and really has a ton of ability to create his own shot from anywhere on the floor. Great handle for his size for sure, and while his release point is a bit low his release is quick and he can shoot it off the dribble.
I'm really excited about this kid and I think he's going to turn a lot of heads in summer league. Not sure he's ready to contribute immediately but he's a worthwhile project for sure.

He looks nba strong. I'm not talking Jimmy Butler, but also bot rookie Brandon Ingram. He doesn't look 195. Looks like he is has a more nature "skinny" frame, like 30 year old Durant, not rookie Durant. _________________ LakersGround's Terms of Service

He is 6’6.25 without shoes, 207.2 lbs with a 7 ft wingspan when measured at the nba combine.

The NBA/NBPA's new CBA will create a new Second-Round Pick Exception that can be used so teams will no longer need to dip into the mid-level exception to sign second-rounders, sources tell me and @MikeVorkunov

What are the red flags? Just curious. Can't find much on him.
Idk where you guys are seeing this brandon ingram comparison. This kid seems pretty damn built for a 20 year old to me. I’d say his frame is a strength not a weakness.

The team literally just made it to the Western Conference finals. What in the (bleep) are you talking about?
Maxwell's draft status certainly was a roller coaster based on the mocks. Thought we'd deal for Brooklyn's pics and draft him there. Since his stock dropped off, wonder if Maxwell would have lasted to 47, hope the trade to move up in the 2nd round was worth it.

Love this pick. Super athletic and has a jump shot! I was hoping he would slip to us once we got in the mid 30s. I expected him going in the 20s based on all the mocks. He screams 3 and D! He can also put it on the floor some.
This is a good pick on so many levels. I've been saying that athletic/lengthy wings make or break teams in the playoffs. Our inability for players to switch onto and defend Murray in the WCF was our undoing. It wasn't Jokic that killed us, as good as he was. The team defense wasn't good enough to neutralize Murray.
It seems that every year there is a significant wing that plays an irreplaceable role in the playoffs. It was Gordon this year, Wiggins last year and then Middleton, Lebron, Kawhi and Durant the years before that. With Lebron declining, it is by far our weakest position, but I'm hoping Rui can put in the work with Phil Handy to break the 18 ppg barrier and contribute on both ends. _________________ Yi Jianlian Fanboy.
