Wow 40% from 3 on 7+ attempts per game last year. Barely shot from 2 but did so at 63%. "Standout defender with great hands" has been used to describe him. 6-4. Great pickup. Feels like he could contribute immediately. _________________ Luxury Tax/FA Spreadsheet (Save to your Google Drive to edit)

He models himself after KCP. Very mature for an incoming NBA player (25 y/o). All reports I've seen describe him as tenacious on defense, quick hands. Can stroke the 3. Likely is at or close to his ceiling (which may be why he was not drafted...including his age), but there is the chance he is just an NBA ready 3 and D guy, which if turns out to be, is heck of a steal.
If he makes the squad will be the first player from British Virgin Islands to do so.
Had a 10-15 from 3 game during his college tenor. _________________ "One thing I admire about Kuzma is his unwavering confidence. He truly has no idea that he’s not as good as he thinks." - Killer_Z
Interesting video I saw about draft sleepers. He is second on his list.
1st Bilal Coulibaly drafted 7th Pacers
2nd D’moi Hodge - undrafted 2way Lakers
3rd Nae’Qwon Tomlin - withdrew went back to school
4th Trey Alexander - withdrew went back to school
5th Kobe Brown - drafted 30th Clippers
Just goes to show this front office knows what they are doing now a days.
Bilal was my pick at 17th way earlier in the draft (Apr 30 page 14 draft thread) before he even went in the radar and moved up the board. With that video, and the eye test and better D, he can easily replace Beasley. Summer League will be fun to watch, these players we have this summer has some promise.

While looking at some of the highlight games played of Missou...what jumped out about Hodge is he was the first down the court when his team got a defensive rebound which made it easy to snow bird the pass to him for a layup or dunk. I also thought they were joking about him having all those 3pt attempts behind the arc..but majority of games he was firing behind the arc..not too many midrange or fly to the basket..most off catch and shoot or pick and pop threes...
He also a pesky defender and thief. Sometimes his man would fly pass him but ..I dont know if he was letting him do it as he would come from behind to to poke the ball away frrom the driver..he just real pesky.
However
Kobe Jones seemed like the leader and go to cuy on the team. Hodge was 1b while Brown was 1a. He picked up the other half of the offense on that team. Big guy that can post up/get to the hole and take a hit/ also shoot the three. Clippers might not have got Whitemore due to the Houston trade and stuff but i think they got a good pickup in Kobe Brown ..just have to see how things go in the Summer.
He’s the most game ready of the guys we drafted (his role is smaller and more defined). His D will show in summer league. Mizzou played a very aggressive style of defense and also a lot of zone. He was always mixing it up. Put in a lot of effort on that end and then spaced the floor on O. His scoring will rely on playmaking around him, which can be pretty iffy in summer league. Kind of guy who can work his way into crunch time and closing at the next level. Great use of the two way.
With the descriptions of him (potentially) being a more-or-less NBA-ready 3&D guy, I'm surprised some team didn't grab him in the late 2nd round given how unimpactful that part of the draft tends to be... even if there's little upside. I guess maybe if he had wing-level size he'd have been taken, whereas there's less desire for a guard who doesn't give you much playmaking? Maybe
I think it’s age. The draft was deep enough, too, that I think a lot of people were eyeing a large crop of two ways and invites.
Yeah, he can’t do x, y and z for you. But with him you get a guy who could develop into a specialist. Not sure how many offers he got but our track record of G League development is strong.

Good year to be a boarderline player.
Available 2-ways jumped from roughly 30 (60 slots, 2 years max) each year to 60ish this year since the CBA added a 3rd. It should "settle" at about 45ish over the next few years (1/2 of 90 slots)
Really like his 3/D game. Can't find his wingspan. Is he a bit on the shorter wingspan side?
Maybe short wingspan, age, and having only 1 year at a major D-1 program brought him into the undrafted territory. I can see a way for him to make an immediate impact on our GLeague squad, and possibly some call up games this year. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals

Agreed his 3/D game has some promise, he will definitely gain valuable experience and development w/ the SB Lakers. Glad he officially signed.
