It’s amazing how much Darvin Ham held us back.

Need another piece

Can we trade our first rounder this year finally or do the Pels still own it?

One more two-way guy, preferably a wing with size who can score puts us over the top.

I still dont think (in fact Im almost positive) we beat Denver in 2023 with JJ and not Spam (but thats just a testament to how great that team was) but with JJ, I think we definitely could have made a finals run in 2024 by upsetting Denver, taking out the T-Pups and beating Dallas. To be honest, Im not confident in that take but it would certainly at least have been possible.

We definitely deserve some props. Teams like the Celtics and Cavs get to come into the season and face terrible teams every other night. Most nights teams in the west are facing stiff competition. Twolves/Suns/Kings(back2back) those are pretty good wins to start.

I’m buying it. This team has some grit and keeps its composure when adversity hits. We got the talent.

If we had made a finals run with JJ, the Celtics despite their advanced metrics, were mentally vulnerable as you saw how Tatum again played like dog (bleep) when he is not mentally comfortable or challenging for him.

I can go as far as a better offense.

Legit contender will always hinge on AD and Lebron. I think we need another 1-3 type because yes Grandpa can still play but still hard to depend on a 40 year old as a #2.

Obviously top 5 version of AD gives hope but we still need one more 1/2/3 type option. That with the role players and Reaves + shooters would put us in legitimate category imo.

As Japago says, I do think we need to have a set #3 although where I disagree is that it COULD be D'Lo....but he needs to be in the right head space mentally. I think the biggest thing JJ could do once we are rolling is motivate D'Lo in the right way and keep him in the right head space to be that championship level player because he has the talent.

We still haven’t seen this team at full strength!

Wood and Hayes are two big pieces for this team.

I said a competent coach gets us 10 more wins last year.

JJ is competent.

He should be demoted from lead assistant to regular assistant on the Bucks’ staff.

It’s early but there’s no team out there right now that I’d place ahead of them.

For sure....I still have to rate them above us due to talent and overall chemistry. But if we are to face them in the finals, unless I see another level from Boston, I like our chances.
