Shows the lack of talent this team has.

Cam is fine as a 11th-12th man. We are depending on him to be a 6th-7th man.

When 92 million goes to 2 guys that aren't prime Shaq and Kobe, these things happen.

It's been awhile since any comments have been posted here about Reddish, so here are some thoughts from Austin about what Cam contributed in the unfortunate loss vs. Detroit last night:

AR says that Reddish was “the lone bright spot” for the Lakers.

Cam offers more than Max just because he can play full court defense and actually make a dunk. Max loses so many layups and dunks he kills tou, same with when he tries to pass.

Reaves has seen Cam defend the best guy next to him and Dlo. They won an IST doing that. And as it stands now, it might have to be a case of Cam starts with the other 4 and defends the best player. Rui goes to the bench and gets 28 mins while still playing Dalton and Hayes so the second unit scores

If Cam plays he will have value to teams like Utah or Brooklyn who might be willing to take a chance on a potential guy

+10 and didn't score a point or even take a shot. The only + player on the team against Detroit.

Cam is playing well. I like what I saw tonight. He is getting in a rhythm offensively and getting his timing down.

Cam plays so smooth...he just fumbles the ball and never dunks on anyone. He is great value PG. If his shot becomes consistent....

Everyone was hyping up Max and others during the summer when I suggested that Cam Reddish can end up helping this team, it would be nice if Max and Gabe and Cam start contributing more consistently and once Vanderbilt and Wood come back we can have a legit bench

He can’t shoot or dribble. He is iffy at best attacking the basket. Sometimes it looks smooth, other times I have no idea what he’s trying to do. We’re better off with him staying in his role.

He looked great when he initially moved into the starting lineup last season too but we know how that movie ends.

Ham had the habit of trying to play role guys like they're stars. I think Cam can be effective as long as he stays in a realistic role. If we start trying to play him a bunch of crazy minutes because of this or that then yeah we'll start to see the same issues as last season more than likely.

tbf Ham overplayed him so much that he was nicked up and a shell of himself on defense.
I do think eventually the offensive limitations are going to rear up and we'll be like "god this guy sucks" but hey it's good practice for when (if) Vanderbilt returns

Ok Cam… I think it’s a win if you can get 8-12ppg as a starter. Starting unit just looks different with him. Look like Cam is keeping AR legs a lot fresher with less defensive load.

His job is the job Vando had. Vando just does it better.

Both Vando and Cam would bring that defensive juggernaut, I like having both getting minutes

I would love to have both of them out there along side AD. But Cam right now is stepping up and has allowed AR not having to guard the best perimeter player each game.

Now if this team can find a legit 3&D guy who can actually score then I think they can make some real noise.

Hopefully Vando can come back full strength and would fill that role well.

had some nice moments attacking closeouts which makes me wonder why teams are closing out to him

jury's still out on offense but you can't deny he slots people defensively much better

The potential of a threat I guess. If he can shoot 35% from three he'll keep them honest.

Everyone laughed when I said he can be a difference maker on this team before the season started

Props to Cam. But fool me once . . . I expect him to come crashing back down to earth in a couple of weeks. But I would be ecstatic to be wrong.

He’s a good stop gap solution for Vando. Problem is Vando is always hurt.

I missed that but sounds like the appropriate response.
