Agreed. He did his job well. Jax stepped up against the lowly Generals. šŸ˜‚
Stats: 10 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 blocks.

Luka is definitely the best PNR and Lebron is up there too. We gonna see a heavy dose of these . If Hayes canā€™t take advantage of this opportunity, he should be playing in China.

Getting massively overlooked. He did a great job vs the Knicks and everyone here thought KAT was gonna destroy him and it didn't happen.

Hayes has statistically had his best defensive year thus far and isn't getting near the credit he deserves from the fanbase.

Let's hope it wasn't Max giving him extra confidence

Stopped Zubac momentum tonight. Helped do the same to KAT.

But when I told ya'll his defensive percentiles were high and beat of his career this season, some of yall tried to act like it meant nothing :3

He's been very good defensively for us in ADs absence and in general all season. Deserves his flowers for how he's stepped up and been exactly what we've needed.

Yeah, he deserves all the props in the World for the last two games especially with us not having AD back there yet still looking as good or better then we have all Season against quality bigs.

We still could obviously use some depth as I don't trust he can stay out of foul trouble consistently with big minutes but he's going to feast from all of Luka, AR and Bron to say the least. No more moves might be the best move if there's no good value deals out there because this team is gelling extremely well already. Shockingly well really.

Was at the game against the Clippers. I haven't been the biggest Hayes fan but I was really impressed with how he started the game. Set good screens, did an excellent job defending Harden and Kawhi on switches (midrange), made the correct reads and generally just didn't screw up on offense aside from a missed free throw. Not spectacular but solid. Only issue is you can't rely on him to be serviceable every night but when he's good he's very effective.

Underrated aspect about Hayes.. he is extremely athletic his problem wasn't athletic inability it was rawness. He was athletic clay that can be moldes well if willing to learn.. and he is willing to learn.

People compared him to Javale McGee as an insult but it isn't one. He doesn't have Javale's size but he has enough size to bang with KAT and Zubac

It was in the midrange so not as difficult with less space to cover but still a good job. Harden and Kawhi aren't exactly the quickest guys out there at this stage

Jaxson Hayes is in the 95th percentile defensively this season.

And some people hate when I bring up percentile as one of the main standards I use, but it continues to steer in the right direction.

So when Hayes is ranked there, you don't scoff at it. He's been able to show it even more lately which is great!

This season Hayes for us has been the lob threat, athletic big man that can bang with centers and is performing at a high defensive level. He's all we were asking for in the off-season, we just weren't looking at him, but THIS season he's been that guy, fans are just finally starting to catch on now. Occasional boneheaded plays aside, Hayes defensive impact for us is nothing to scoff at, period.

For how this team is now constructed, heā€™ll definitely be fine as a backup. His mobility works well with JJā€™s defensive schemes

Still donā€™t really trust his rebounding ability enough, or his ability to match up on bigger Cā€™s like Jokic for long periods, for me to be comfortable with him starting

With Woodā€™s health unclear, we still need another big next to Hayes

Hayes has been fantastic for us defensively. His main issue is rim protection and rebounding. His strength is as a vertical threat offensively and his lateral quickness defensively. As long as we continue to build a wall and team rebound Iā€™m ok with Hayes at center.

Idk if our defense ever looked this good even with Davis. Maybe the team depending on him too much for rim protection/reboudning.

I really donā€™t want to trade Rui, reaves or Gabe for a center. I think we forget Hayes is so damn young. Letā€™s let him develop. See how much better he looks with Luka. With Luka we add another 7-9 rebounds per game. So, itā€™s no so important Hayes is a monster rebounder.

Lebron 7-8 reb
Luka 7-8 reb
Jax 6-7
Rui 3-4
DFS 3-4
Reaves 3-4
Vando 6-7

We will be fine. If anything we could trade Max for JV and call it a day. Val can play off the bench when we feel we sixe but he changes how we defend so idk. Maybe just run with wat we got nd worry about it in the off season.

Agreed. Im not giving up AR, or Rui or anyone else for that matter. This team is set. Keep Hayes

Maybe get Boogie Cousins, or Dwight, or Javel, but no trading pieces or giving up picks

I laughed when It was suggested the other day, but if we can't get anyone by tomorrow, we could do worse than bringing back Mo Bamba to throw in against the bigger centers for 10 minutes a game and keeping Hayes to start

Hayes at center allows us to play a lot faster. Hayes for all of his discipline issues plays very hard. Runs back on D. Consistently sets multiple screens and I believe is a huge reason why we have won the past 2 games
