Make LeBron play the 3. We won't face elite wings every game, but when we do, put Wood or AD on them.

Wood openly complained about people complaining about his defense in Houston, Detroit and Dallas and said he should not be the only big on the floor. AD has said since the title team he doesn’t want to be the only big on the floor. They are a match made in heaven for one another because they both got what they wanted. The difference between the two is that without another big, Wood can’t hide a team, whereas AD is a defensive unicorn

I’m all in for AD-Wood

This is our 2nd unit: Gabe, Cam, Prince, Vando, Rui, Hayes

Should’ve signed Jock Londale or Jay Huff instead!

Most forwards are not that shifty and fast. Only a few. He has the length over most of them and can recover. Glad to see he is buying in early.

He’s a pretty good wing defender on man defense and a help defender on weak side. That’s where our team should utilized him. Good fit with Lebron and AD.

Wasn't expecting Wood's D to exceed his much heralded O but I'll take it. He's now a trusted and reliable member of the main rotation just as Ham told us back in camp!

Mavs as team was not good defensively. It’s different when your playing along side AD amd a bunch of wing defenders. I know Lebron gets hate for his lazy defense at times. But his IQ alone can help, when he is calling out other team plays and sets.

The rebounds he gets when on the court with AD and in general are a difference maker.

I'd still take Mo Bamba over him.

Was clear as day that Wood was a steal when the deal happened. Haters including the media tried to make people think Wood sucked and put up empty stats You put talent on the right team, and watch them flourish!

It’s truly like watching AD and AD lite side by side. AD simply cover the whole halfcourt, Wood got AD’s back

Early on, but it would be nice if we were able to offer him a good contract next year.

Uff, Mo doesn't play with fire and he's injury prone

This guy is a flashing red sign as an Exhibit A of an established "losing" player suddenly becoming a valuable winner in the right environment.

It works the other way around too. Think Robert Horry on Phoenix right before he was traded here after winning 2 rings in Houston. Had Horry stayed in Phoenix and we kept Ceballos, some team might have been able to pick up Horry for the $1 Million exception right after that season as he was set to be a free agent following the 1997 season - which was the only exception available for all teams over the salary cap. Instead he got a 7 year $35 million extension. Likely Horry would have just signed with Houston for the $1M prove-it deal as the Rockets were all capped out with Olajuwon, Barkley and Drexler.

Love this dude.
