Hilary is expected to substantially weaken before reaching Southern California and parts of the Southwest but, regardless of its strength, the storm will enhance heavy rainfall and increase flooding danger.
Heavy rainfall is expected to begin impacting the Southwest Saturday and through early next week, with the most intense downpours likely on Sunday and Monday.
To my brother's and sisters living in the So.Cal // Las Vegas area, stay safe out there seeing how this could be a tropical storm once this reaches our neck of the woods. _________________ The Gospel in a nutshell: 1 Corinthians 15:1-4

They most likely will be. I posted concerns for the residents at or near Casa Romantica where landslides have threatened and red tagged million-dollar properties. If the rains come they will be in dire straits. LINK _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

So will it just be like regular rain, or will it still be dangerous?
If you live in the desert there will be flooding.
If you live on hillsides there will probably be landslides.
For most people who live in the flatlands you will probably experience street flooding and down trees.

We had a Hurricane Hilary in 2016, but too many dumbasses dismissed her power, and look at the devastation that followed; it literally has brought us to the brink of ghetto end of Democracy. _________________ "You know it seems the more we talk about it, it only makes it worse to live without it."

Well I guess the good thing about all this rain is usually by August most of the area is tinder dry just in time for some Santa Ana winds to start a huge brush fire. With all this unusual moisture the ground will be saturated and reset the conditions closer to winter or spring.
Bands of torrential tropical downpours, wind gusts over 60 mph, and risk of isolated tornadoes are continuing to intensity and expand over SE CA deserts and eastern slopes of Peninsular and Transverse Ranges. Numerous flash flood warnings now in effect. #CAwx
