Pilot ejected over South Carolina and left autopilot on....
How can we not know the coordinates for the autopilot destination or was it just auto fly with no destination?
I always wonder if I'll hear the missiles coming for WWIII from the enemy. I didn't think I'd have to worry about a stray $80,000,000 US Fighter Jet randomly crashing into a home
Is it autopilot set for landing in Russia? WTF is going on???

If this link is accurate auto pilot wouldn't be a factor. LINK

Yes, when a fighter pilot ejects from their plane, the engines automatically cut off. This is to prevent the possibility of the ejection seat being sucked into the engine and causing injury or death to the pilot. Additionally, the ejection process typically involves the separation of the entire cockpit and pilot seat from the rest of the plane, which would not be possible if the engines were still running. |
