Anyone see Ben Joyce on the Angels? His fastball reached 104 mph a few times, and also throws a 92 mph changeup. Think I also saw a 99 mph sinker. He just got his first save.
The last pitch he threw tonight was 104.7 mph. |

I did happen to catch the final 2 innings. That last pitch you referenced, that was the hardest pitch in the majors this season by anyone. Kid just needs to stay healthy. He doesn't really have a dominant breaking ball, but he probably won't need one with that velocity as long as he keeps the hitters somewhat honest with the "sinker" and the changeup. |

Oh, he definitely wants a 40/40 season, and there has to be at least a small chance at 50/50. |

I’d say a decent/good chance?
Current pace:
48 HR
45 steals
And I’d say at the pace he’s going, he’ll have more steals than HRs. |

I can’t make sense of this right now.
- Cartaya is in AAA as well. They were both in AA and now both are in AAA.
I think one is being traded this offseason and Cartaya probably has little value left. I think they r showcasing Rushing in AAA.
Either that or we’re bringing up his left handed bat to the majors for the stretch run.
Will we try him in LF?
Backup catcher to Will Smith? |
