Should be evident that this is ADs team by now. We don't go anywhere without him.

Udoka is legit. Been saying it since his San Antonio days. I also remember his brief stint with the Lakers.

Yes, Udoka is good but again. Don’t overrate him. He left and Mazulla came in the following season and did a BETTER job and won more games.

They didn’t make the Finals though. That being said the Celtics were good regardless of coach. I think he’s more impressive with the Rockets.

We won’t go anywhere with it being his team, he isn’t that type of player.

Even before Ime’s influence these young and hungry rockets ( Jalen green , sengun, tate, and Jabari Smith jr) spent a couple seasons in the lottery.
Then you add the veteran presence of FVV (whose contract will get uglier and uglier per season) brooks and Jeff green.
It was only a matter of time.

I’ve always felt out of all the young and upcoming squads in the league the rockets and thunder had the clear cut edge. Sure Orlando is good too, still not a believer in Detroit.

Congrats dreamshake you got a fun and exciting squad for the next decade or so. Jalen green is definitely that dude and I’m going to predict his first all star appearance this season.

P.S really wanted to watch Amen Thompson tonight. He’s got the potential to be another Jalen green imo lol

We had the most success when AD played the 4, but LeBron sees himself as “The Chosen One” and doesn’t want to go back to the 3 at his age, so AD is stuck playing the 5 out of respect and seniority.

LeBron barely puts up any defense against 4’s, how much worse could it be with him at the 3?

3s and 4s are pretty similar in today's game unless a team is running a 3 guard line-up. 90% of the games he should be able to guard the opposite teams 3.

I still think Rui should start over Prince at this point.

I was clearly wrong

The Rockets are over .500 for the first time in 3 years. That’s really surprising

Question - You're from Indiana and been an LG staple. Are you even a Lakers fan? I'm genuinely asking out of curiosity cause I honestly don't know.

I am a Pacers fan but I have followed the Lakers through the years. Rick Fox went to my old HS, Kobe was one of my fave players. I am not fond of them now since Lebron has been there.

Gotchoo....

I've wondered cause you've been such a contributor to this site but also an ardent Hoosier...so I was always curious as to why you were here. Also, lmao at the Bron quib. I love Kobe too but can - at the same time - appreciate LBJ's greatness and contribution to my beloved franchise. He said 'yes' to us when countless guys like Alldridge (lmfao), Melo, DRoz, KL, PG etc said no.....then won us a chip....and still being the number 1 when he should be a 3 at this stage.

But I also get your disdain...particularly as a Pacers fan. No knock on your Pacers.

PS- you got yourself a good one in Haliburton btw. Thought the trade was a wash but I think the Kings made the wrong choice. TH's game will age longer than Fox's...that is pending TH's health.

Yeah I hate LeBitch regardless of what team he plays for. I am trying not to get attached to Hali because star players rarely stay here. I have more an issue with Carlisle’s coaching this time around tbh I feel he’s stuck in his ways

One thing is for sure

This is not LeBrons team anymore

Still a good player but not what he once was

It was never Lebron's team. AD was the reason they won in 2020 and will be the reason they get anywhere at all this season. Take him out of the equation and they arguably have the worst defense in the league. Lebron knows how to piggyback off of legitimate talent and goose the stats to make himself look good.

Mazzulla folded in the playoffs and lost to weaker teams. Udoka was 2 wins away from taking it all. They are in different tiers.

I agree and had they won it all I wonder if they would have kept him? He was fired for personal reasons not basketball ones.

I don’t think he has shown that it is. When they won in 2020, it was with LeBron and AD both playing at an unreal level.

AD hasn’t been able to replicate that 2020 level, much less surpass it take over for LeBron.

Then we aren’t going anywhere. AD is a 2 and Lebron can no longer be a 1 on chip team.

Need a young star tbh or we will keep just squeaking into the playoffs/play-in or miss if injuries mount.
