| A win it’s hard to feel good about. We only won because Portland sucks. Any competent team would have blown us out. 20 offensive boards and 16 TOs and Portland couldn’t break 100 points. That is a trash team. |

I don’t think he minds playing this cup game stuff because it gets the lesser guys paid and it further his foothold into Vegas after basketball
AD has already said he plans to play these games because it can be a game changer and is nice money for end of the bench and two way guys.
Early in the season teams are trying to take care of the coaches and end of bench guys. Norris Cole mentioned it on the Gilbert podcast that Heat players have talked about the 500k for the lower guys and coaches. |

Me and you both lol.
But yeah even Kawhi is not missing these games because it still goes to everyone else. It’s a share of money that can change some assistant coach or low end 2 way player life. Maybe buy mama a house or pay for your sibling school or anything else. Or have a savings and invest it. I think the idea has worked great because you see a lot of top guys like I’m going to get that for those end of the team guys. |

I think the NBA tv contract expires soon, so these Tuesday and Friday games can be sold as a separate package to ESPN or Amazon/netflix/Peacock which will go 50% directly to the salary cap. |

I’m not sure how he furthers his foothold into Vegas, he can’t come close to owning an NBA team. He could definitely be a minority partner like Magic used to be.

It’s not even that … it’s the word can’t attached to him. They said he couldn’t make the transition. He did it. They said he couldn’t bring his buddies with him, he did it and Paul runs the agent world. They said he couldn’t be a B and he became a billionaire years ago. They said he couldn’t ball at 38 and he’s in year 21 getting 25 5 5 regularly. They said Kareem couldn’t be caught and he caught them. They said his sons won’t make it and they are millionaires on their own with NIL deals and will make the league.
Bron ain’t close to a favorite but I would never say can’t to him … you tell him he can’t get the capital and his ass will get it and show you. Silver knows that Vegas team is his when he hangs up with Mav and Paul. It’s not crazy to think this cup tourney won’t be a networking trip for him and planning trip at all. |
