Feels like a repeat of last week where they win this one and then lose to the Mavs the following night.

NBA In-Season Tournament: What’s at stake this week
Breaking down the latest results and what to know as Group Play continues Tuesday and Friday.
Quote:
*Game of the week

Utah at L.A. Lakers, Tuesday (10 ET, TNT)

History is on the line, as the Lakers attempt to become the first In-Season Tournament team to go undefeated through Group Play. OK, that probably should be history with a lower-case “h,”
but still … LeBron James and his mates have put themselves in a great position to head to Las Vegas and, in fact, get there as NBA Cup favorites.
They’ve got the Jazz in L.A., first of all. Even though Utah is 2-1 in the Tournament, it is 4-9 overall to the Lakers’ 8-6.
The Lakers have the biggest point-differential advantage (+42), so even if the Jazz (+19) beat them to pull even at 3-1, they need to win by at least 23 to catch up in the first tiebreaker.
And Tuesday is the In-Season Tournament Group Play finale for both, among the earliest finishers, allowing maximum rest and relaxation before the Knockout Rounds begin on Dec. 4.

Hope it’s soon! Also, Vin/Wood with that group could provide a pretty darn good defensive unit.

Vin
Cam
Van
AD
Wood

In the mean time, let’s focus on getting this win tonight!!!

Expecting an easy win. Tomorrow is the slightly harder game so they should try to put this one away quickly.

Tru dat.
We are home so we should win but don't underestimate Utah; the Jazz are a scrappy, pesky team.
They hustle defend and they lead the NBA in rebounding (LAL is 19th). Lakers must play well in the 1st qt. and control the tempo.

Clarkson wanting to show off is a good thing for the Lakers. I think he finally had a couple good games last year but historically he has been awful against them.

I read that the 1st tie breaker referenced as point differential is for outside of group play. Regarding the group standings, the 1st tie breaker is head-to-head. The announcers didn’t specifically say that I think because they assumed sports fans would know that it’s implied that when teams play each other, whomever wins is the leader in standing if there is a tie.

Still, to keep down confusion, I wish they would have specifically said that “the 1st tie breaker outside of group play…since they would not have played each other…is point differential but as expected, head to head will break the tie within group play.”
