“Peterson was arrested days later north of the Mexican border with $15,000 in cash. He had dyed his hair blond and was carrying his brother’s license and camping gear.”

The Innocence Project taking on this case is going to hurt their credibility |

Exactly - Never heard a more guilty story than his. He was a bad man and was trying to flee. How is this not guilty.
Just like OJ Simpson and the Bronco chase - guilt/suicide letter, a gun, cash and fleeing the cops, AJ Cowlings calling the cops to tell them he wants to kill himself.....only to end up back at home. That jury should feel guilty every day for letting that killer walk. 30 years ago this year that he slayed those two people.... |

Perhaps they see something that may obtain his freedom despite him being guilty. |

They should rename their organization:
“The Not Proven Guilty Beyond a Reasonable Doubt Project” |

I agree with the general sentiment here.

Yep. This is all about simply getting the guilty verdict voided by reintroducing evidence that was not presented properly during his trial and could have lead to reasonable doubt; not proving his innocence.
This isn't the ideal defendant for TIP to involve itself with, but it is within the scope of what they do: get what they view as improper convictions get re-adjudicated. _________________ Code 8647
