A guard is needed, one who can play above average defense.

What do you think the Clippers need to get to the finals or Conference finals? You always praise what they do, but they don't have any of the results.

Hawks play better without Trae. Please, no more fancy three point chuckers. Steph chucks a lot of three pointers but at least he makes most of them.

Damon Jones, Kevin Love, Jr Smith,Ray Allen say Hello.

Kyrie just wasnt going to take it and wanted his own team....Also right now allstars like a Curry/Kyrie/Dam maybe.....just maybe Trea Young he might respect to let them do what they want..however anybody mid level DJM or even Fox or Halliburton?---Nope...

Also at this age that iso ball stuff will naturally kick in..it always has..look at the past two years with ham. 1 and 2nd qtr we do well in a offense..3rd and 4th qtr helta skelta ISO offense... HAm couldnt tell him to stop..the funny thing....Rasheed Wallace was suppose to be on his staff..That might be one person that would have got in his face and told him to stop or force him to stop....Who ever we get i really hope that coach calls Udonis Haslem or somebody to hold LBJ accountable.

What do you think about Gabe’s play in the playoff? Encouraging?

I wouldn’t base anything off of these playoffs, he wasn’t himself. He had spotty moments with Miami but at least you know he will give an effort.

Not true with D Wade and Kyrie. Not saying Young is at that level, but I believe Young would waive LeBron out of the way of the game dictates that. And LeBron just like Kobe respects players like that.

LeBron has deferred and let others ball-handle plenty.

He's deferred to AR and DLo plenty. He isn't going to do it when they aren't playing well.

And guys like Kyrie and Wade are at a different level. Trae would fall into their category of respect as a multi-time all star who's been the only major offensive option on a conference finalist.

People hate LeBron dominating the ball, but what better option is there when AR and DLo are playing bad? AD just isn't built to consistently dominate the ball like that. And, it's an added responsibility when he's already doing so much throughout the game defensively.

That's why the Lakers need a 3rd option that will breakthrough and play well in playoff games against contenders.

If the Lakers had that, I'm sure LeBron would defer to him in that situation.

don't like the idea of gutting the team unless we're massively moving the needle. I don't think Trae does that for us.

Who is available that would move said needle?

If the CAVS lose tomorrow, maybe Donovan Mitchell becomes available, but I doubt it. And even if he does go on the market, Cleveland is the kind of team that will refuse to send him to play with LeBron.

That’s the million dollar question, not only who is available but who is tradable for the assets the team has to offer. Young might very well be but Cleveland has let it be known that they want to keep Mitchell. I could see a player being available who is in the AD to Lebron age range.

Jr Smith and old ass Ray Allen are were only useful as catch and shoot guys lol. Bosh and Love stats were cut short because of too many chefs in the kitchen (playing behind Wade and then Kyrie), not because Lebron himself neutered them.

I think Trae young is underrated at this point. Hope we get to see him PnG next season.

At least we know he's capable of upping his game in the playoffs. (*cough d'lo)

But agree, the Cavs to Lakers angle is unworkable at the moment.

Gutting the team would essentially mean losing Rui and AR. If you've noticed, our bench completely sucks. It was evident on various occasions during the season and the playoffs. Nobody on our bench is going to make a GM say, 'I want Prince or no deal.' That's how much our bench has sucked this season. So, I mean, if you're willing to give up Rui and AR for either Trae or Donovan, that's the question people should be asking themselves.

Older star vets? My guess would be Jimmy Butler and CJ McCollum

Hire Donovan and trade for Caruso (especially with the emergence of White in Chicago) and Vucevic (decent defender who can bang and save AD's body). Sign Dunn (cheap) and we add 2 good defensive players to a backcourt and a banger underneath. This is exactly what this team needs.

Woves really ruined the bigs market when they outrageously over-offered for Gobert. Now it might be impossible to get one.

To think we let BroLo and Zubac walk for nothing. It hurts just to think about it.
