Hoping Handy is back... I mean, they mentioned developing like 17 times why not have the best guy in the biz... but I don't know if that's even a slight possibility after firing the whole Ham staff.

I agree. He's very good at developing players. Sam Cassell is another coach who's good at developing players. Keep in mind, developing players doesn't only mean developing basketball skills. It also includes acclimating to the NBA lifestyle. Teaching things to avoid and things to embrace is a part of that. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

because we destroyed ourselves.
Sources: Lakers have interest in talking to former NBA coach Alvin Gentry about being an assistant on JJ Redick’s staff. Gentry coached Anthony Davis in New Orleans and his teams were very efficient offensively.
It will be fine, sounds like Gentry will be joining the staff and probably some more experience after him.
Even though I think experience is overrated, Redick played in the league for 15 years or something, it isn't like he has never been in a NBA locker room, practice or game. Give him a chance, he may surprise. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny

Gentry is what helped the Warriors offense along with what Kerr tried to do with the Triangle. Definitely the right guy to get. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

Gentry's not just good for AD, he's good for any pick and roll three point shooting guards and off pindowns and screens moving shooters, because he would put remnants of D'Antoni's offense in the system that's implemented.
That's what took the Warriors offense from what Jackson was doing to what we now know and love and got Steph all those pindown attempts.
So getting Gentry means they really are going to prioritize AD as leading offensive guy but also utilizing the three point shooters.
Wasn’t it reported that Redick was “ talking to his asst coaches” weeks before he was even offered the job?
Did they all turn him down? Was it all BS for the media?
For such a “respected” HC hire he seems to not get anyone to join him on the staff.
Cannot help but wonder just how bad this Laker coaching, roster and situation is being looked at by NBA professionals behind closed doors. Certainly seems like there is very little interest by coaches and free agents so far.
