This is about as blatant as it gets, and doing it so confidently in front of the refs pretty much like you know it isn't going to be called. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

Dalton asked Lebron a question during the timeout about what seems like a specific play, and Lebron spent the whole timeout acting out the scenario for him and explaining it/coaching him up. Love to see a rook have the humility/wisdom to ask for help, and came to the right guy.
Lebron has helped AR's development, and looks like he's trying to do the same with DK4. Love to hear these kinds of things, and it really seems on brand with what I've seen from him in his time here.

When are the refs going to get investigated

Yeah, that one was wild.. I was about to go off on Dalton for not pushing through that screen like his life depended on it with it being Murray taking the final shot but on replay I saw that truth as well. That's on the refs completely though imo. I can't blame Jokic doing that if the refs aren't going to call it as he wants to do whatever it takes to get the win as well even if it is a bit shady.
Got to give Dalton his flowers though! Most rookies especially would have just folded mentally after the rescinded trade and really bad defensive struggles he had at times. I've seen it happen plenty of times.
I think it really shows how great our leadership is on this team to keep pushing him and showing they still had full confidence in him during his biggest struggles with even a legend like Robert Horry sending some inspiring texts.
The most credit should obviously go to Dalton himself as the excuses were all laid out neatly in front of him and he instead said ef that and worked his ass off and learned from his mistakes while becoming more confident than I ever seen him which I truthfully never believed would fully happen THIS Season.
Offensively, I was never too concerned as he has a clear as day elite level shot and a surprisingly nice arsenal on that side of the ball for a Rookie. I still don't love him on the floor defensively late in games but JJ even said that was a mistake and he meant to bring Vando back in.
Nice to see him be a bit like AR as well and not waste an insanely intelligent basketball mind like Bron and actually take advantage of it to speed up his development. Both him and AR could very easily just be cocky that they're above average offensively and don't need to ask Bron/JJ/Luka/DFS/Vando etc. for advice here and there to become much more complete players. He'll never be the 3&D player DFS is but DFS will also never be the offensive player DK is and as long as he can just hover around serviceable/average on the defensive end and not make vital mistakes he can be a massive piece for us going forward and will have a very long NBA career.
I really love how this team treats each other, they all seem to genuinely enjoy being around each other which is one of those very underrated essential things most top contending teams have.
If he can improve defensively then he’ll be a better player. He’s certainly more athletic than MPJ.. and could possibly be just as good a shooter.
I hope they can coach him up because I like the kid.
I can see that. Just need to keep enabling and developing him. We benefit from keeping him involved and treating him like the scorer he is.
We don't need him to be all-NBA defense although that'd be nice, but being an average defender who understands angles would be icing on the cake because we already know his offensive ceiling is extremely high. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

I think he has more on-ball juice than MPJ.
MPJ is pretty low IQ defensively as well. If he can reach MPJ's level we have a true steal. Offensively, he is nowhere MPJ's shooting ability but I do see more versatility and chance to be a #1 on his team more from Dalton than MPJ.

If we end up clearing out a large portion of our roster (Reaves, Rui, etc) for a guy like Giannis (when Bron retires).
We'll be glad he's still here.
As things stand now. If Rui returns to form when he comes back. Knecht is a great 9th-10th man in the rotation to have. Teams like OKC are 13 deep. The added depth is good.
His ceiling is tied to his defense at the moment. I expect teams to attack his defense this postseason. He'll have to prove he isn't the weak link. _________________ When the world grows. Grow with it.

Dalton's starting to shoot with confidence. He'd lost his for a while. We may have dodged a bullet when the trade was rescinded. Dalton's shown character. He hasn't been moody or displayed an attitude toward being traded. His game is on point. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.

Williams has looked good, playing in 9 of Charlotte's last 10 games and averaging a very efficient double double with 1.6 blocks.
Still, I believe the Lakers medical staff.
I don't know if Knecht will be a big time player, but he gives off a Chris Mullin vibe to me. Yeah, he can shoot from deep, but he wants to be a 3-level scorer. _________________ On Lakersground, a concern troll is someone who is a fan of another team, but pretends to be a Lakers fan with "concerns".

Agree he has played well but when I watch him, I see Greg Oden, Bynum. Just looks awkward to me....

It was a bad deal... Mark Williams has played 96 games total in almost 3 full seasons while averaging 23 mins per game. You don't give up Knecht and all thos unprotected picks for this.
He's actually very very poor defensively too.
I'm glad it was rescinded. I'm a big Knecht fan and we can do a lot better for all those assets. _________________ "He may say it's not you, it's him.... but it's really you."
This! I find it funny how some thought there would/should be very limited minutes for this kid. His game says otherwise.
He wouldn't even have the opportunity if not for injuries to 3-4 players ahead of him. Was getting 13 mpg before Rui and then Reaves got hurt. Even with all the injuries he's still behind Goodwin in the rotation. The minutes simply aren't there with everyone healthy. _________________ It was reminiscent of one of those Most Interesting Man in the World advertisements: "I don't always shoot 6-for-28 from the field, but when I do, I become the youngest player in league history to score 28,000 career points."
Hayes is almost the same age as Williams.
Already on the team.
A better defender
More athletic
Can be kept for less money, and you don't need to give up assets/picks to obtain him as he's already on the team.

DLo is a lot more Chris Mullin, lack of athleticism but crafty. Knecht… MPJ is a good one, Rasheed Lewis also a good one but right now, Bobby Sura _________________ “The main goal for the Lakers is to win a championship.
