And actually efficient as well, so far anyway, last few minutes of the game. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

23/9/5 on 50/60/75. Wow. Fully exceeding my expectations so far even on a G League level. His contract might actually turn out to be a steal. _________________ It was reminiscent of one of those Most Interesting Man in the World advertisements: "I don't always shoot 6-for-28 from the field, but when I do, I become the youngest player in league history to score 28,000 career points."
Right now, he plays exactly like his father difference being he‘s not 6-9 250. LeBron can get away with the lack of skill but it‘ll be hard for Bronny to sustain success in the big league if he doesn’t develop more tools around the rim and mid range area. with that slow shooting motion anyways.
not saying he won’t, hope the player development can build on the physical tools. you just wonder how someone growing up with all those resources has not developed those earlier when the path getting to the league was always clear.
Yeah Bronny is "saving" the Lakers money insofar that his contract is cheaper than a VM.
I watched the highlights and nothing about them indicate he's an NBA player but at least you can see glimpses of his value (disruptive ball pressure guard who is athletic, strong and ideally can hit a 3). Lots of work ahead of him in all honesty so we'll see in summer league next year and in '26 what he's made of.
I am higher on him than on Lewis, but that might just be a statement on Lewis

What would be translatable to the big league, in your opinion? These games always seem like glorified pickup. I guess the fact that his shooting confidence is up, he's driving, making good basic reads in this format are good signs.

I think it’s aggressiveness with efficiency for me. Get the numbers without shooting 100x and playing within the flow of the game.
He's finding his rythym, I always knew he was capable of performing well.
People underestimate the heart injury because he came back so fast.
He's going to continue to get better
Agreed,
Bronny looked pretty confident out there since his return. He has played well and will only get better in time if he puts in the work.
After what he's been through, it's an amazing story and a blessing that he's able to compete at this level or any level.

From what I've seen between summer league and G-League highlights, I actually like his defensive skillset (on ball pressure guard, disruptive off ball, relatively switchable despite his size due to being strong -- basically a mini-Caruso who can guard up 6+ inches). I don't think he's as good defensively as you want him to be but I think in 3-5 years he will be.
Fundamentally my pessimism comes from the fact that JHS is a bum who can't do anything in the NBA and he still averaged 40% in G-League shooting step back 3s. Bronny is at 21%... it's worse than Vando. Vando is barely playable in the playoffs. Even if Bronny gets to 35% from 3, he can be a rotation player in the regular season but I just can't see an undersized defensive player being a playoffs rotation player. His defensive value is always capped due to his size. He has to be, at least, a legitimate threat with gravity to be a playoffs rotation player IMO.
No we just don’t give a (bleep). We know who he is and what this is. Congrats on him doing well in the G league. He is still not an NBA level player and most likely never will be.
He's best in chaos ball. He's like a poor man's Zo, why is another reason why I'd love Zo on a min next year
What?
Zo is not getting the min next year.
Poor man’s Zo? You’d think a poor man’s Zo would have at least some court vision, considering the way Zo sees the floor is highly unique. This take doesn’t make any sense because Bronny is literally a deer in the headlights.
The way he's playing he might be lucky to get the minimum. He's averaging 5.5 points and 3.5 assists, while shooting 33.3% from the field and 31.6% from three.
Keep working on those guard skills. I want to see him playing full time point guard in the g league, working on distributing and his ball handling. I'd also like to see him quicker on his shot, right now it seems like he is better on his catch shoot than his shots off the dribble.
He looks better than I initially thought, so I am happy to see that. He seems like he could be worthwhile if he continues to develop

I find this very funny
You are the same person that said this:

Bronny should just start practising his languages. He’s going to playing in Taiwan or China real soon.
These goal posts are moving quite fast
Also, does this apply to JHS and the recently traded Maxwell Lewis?
Last time I checked they had roster spots as well, but nobody crashes out about their development and production.
I wonder why _________________ The most important shot in basketball.
It’s been several months since he was picked. And now he is playing in the G-League where he should be playing so he can develop. Might as well just root for him now.
People care more about the 45th pick being lebron’s son than the horrible picks we made last season.
Because that’s why the team picked him. And logically it does make sense, but it’s understandable why some fans would be annoyed.
Just to get it straight, Bronny was the 55th pick, not 45th. His potential…and pay…is in line with other NBA prospects chosen that late in the draft. The only thing I really wasn’t ok with was the absurd plan to have him only play G-League home games. Everything else seems legit and that snafu has been rectified as well.
Check out JHS/MaxLew, Bronny seems on par to be at least as effective as they were and both of them were chosen much higher. Give credit to JHS/MaxLew college accomplishments for getting drafted earlier, which of course they were, but the aftermath appears atm to justify the 55th pick so far. We’ll see if the long shot will pay off…which is how it looks, like a long shot…but he looks about as good as a 2ndRd #55th pick should look for now. _________________ When reasonably possible, I expect the Lakers to go after a ship like it can’t be denied. I haven’t seen a completely committed effort by the GM for the last 2 off seasons nor the last 2 trade deadlines. What is going on?
