Side note: anyone actually watch any G-League and have an opinion on Bronny's defense?
Bronny's defense is solid. He's not necessarily a lockdown defender but he is heady & crafty.
His athletic ability, quickness and strength allows him to keep players in front of him most of the time.
He recovers fast, rebounds fairly well for his size and his leaping ability (40 inch vertical) allows him to block shots at an efficient rate.
Bronny has good instincts and a high BBIQ but he's still a work in progress as he hones his skills, gains confidence and knowledge.
Thanks pio! My impression of him from summer league is he gambled more/ was less defensively sound than, say, Max. I also recall him getting beat off the dribble more than I expected for a defensive prospect. But I don't take much stock in my summer league impression, glad to get this take.
good stuff Bronny
hope he can be our 3rd string point guard next year
Man, I hope so, he gonna be a bargain contract lol _________________ “The main goal for the Lakers is to win a championship. All I care about, all we care about, is to raise another banner in the rafters.“

I'd love the Max Christie progression for Bronny:
1) G-League reps as a rookie
2) Great 2nd summer league, clearly a cut above the competition
3) Flashed some signs in 2nd year, but not in the rotation yet (granted Max should've been, Ham just Hammed)
4) Rotation player in year 3
5) Quality role player in Year 4

Does he have sufficient reach to overcome his size limitation? Will he be able to shoot at Christie's level in the NBA (shot form/mechanics/ability) ?
Let's see where he is next SPL. _________________ On Lakersground, a concern troll is someone who is a fan of another team, but pretends to be a Lakers fan with "concerns".
Keep letting him cook in the gleague and build confidence. _________________ "He's a Zen master, so he can speak to you, and he doesn't need a microphone; you can hear him in your head, 'Ron, don't shoot, don't shoot.' Whatever, pow, three. I love the Zen, though."
What Los Angeles Lakers' Luka Doncic Is Teaching Bronny James
Quote:
"Just his patience. Just being able to be unpredictable," James, son of NBA superstar LeBron James, told reporter Raj Chipalu when asked what he's learned from Doncic so far.
Dancing Barry quote:
Bronny -- -- Perhaps his best game in the NBA (a career high for him). Good energy, which was notable because it stood out with how poor the energy was with the rest of the team. He drew FTs on a drive. He attacked off a screen and scored on a floater. The crowd loved it, of course. Next time down, he took a pass in the corner, never brought the ball down as it was thrown near his head and he swished the three. He swung a pass while still in air to Goodwin for a three. He iso’d against a big, stepped back and swished a three over a good challenge. Very nice. The Stats: He scored 9 points on 3-4 shooting (2-3 from three, 1-2 from the line) to go with 1 assist and no fouls in 8 minutes. He was a +10.

I'd love the Max Christie progression for Bronny:
I too would like Bronny to grow to 6'5.
I can't tell if you're being obtuse or just stupid, obviously I don't mean he's going to become Max Christie
I literally listed out the progression, his Max Christie progression is to become an Avery Bradley/ GP2 type player. The point is his impact, not the exact measurables or player archetype

Simply making a facetious joke.
If I was being serious I'd have just said your trajectory was accurate. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

If Derek Fisher can have a NBA career, Bronny can too. Gabe Vincent is a serviceable player too. Neither of them have elite handles for PGs. If anybody could do it, it would be someone who got his genes from arguably the GOAT. I said "arguably," so please, lets not get into that. LOL! We don't need to compare him to Max Christie. _________________ "The game is MORE than just one player. y'know Gabe Vincent is a pretty good comp come to think of it. Bronny's more explosive than Gabe but aside from that
Bronny will need to hit 3s if he wants to play after his Dad retires, and he'll need to work on his handle. He has the athleticism to be a good POA guy, but he has to be an offensive threat of some sort, as well. _________________ On Lakersground, a concern troll is someone who is a fan of another team, but pretends to be a Lakers fan with "concerns".
