The French guy is pretty tough, I saw tap. That doesn't necessarily make
him good, lol.

I mean he only ends up on half the depth charts that we post. Hopefully he progresses with the Summer League.

I feel for JHS but the kid is up against some real fast, athletic and
talented competition in the NBA. I don't see him getting by most
if any of those guys, still I wish him the best, I do.

NC State’s Mohamed Diarra has agreed to join the Los Angeles Lakers for NBA Summer League, I’m told.

The 6’10” French big man is a hellacious rebounder, plays with great energy, and really stepped up his game in March to help fuel the Wolfpack’s ACC + NCAA Tournament runs.

If this real, he looks like he is just raw but just need to harness some fundamentals and can be a great energy guy on the bench.

Now he's good at D, but underdeveloped on the O. He can give you some
rebounds, dunks and blocks.

Thanks Laker7 for putting this thread together.

It'll be interesting to see how each of these players perform over the next several weeks.

I'm excited for Castleton. Hope he's ready to be a 3rd stringer. JJ wants to use big men as offensive hubs and Castleton has that skillset. Castleton is also 24 years old, so if he's going to be an NBA contributor then he needs to show it soon.

I agree with this. He is a wildcard. Looking forward see what happens to him.

I was impressed with him during their ACC tournament and NCAA tournament run. Energy player

Had an impressive 7 game stretch where he averaged 11.5ppg, 13.7rpg, and 2.1bpg. Then fell off the last 2 games

Same weight as Evan Mobley at 215 lbs. Plus the 7’6 wingpan!

There is quite a few players in our summer league squad that is intriguing to watch.

Knecht (if we hit a jackpot in the draft)
Bronny (if he can defend and be like Payton jr)
JHS, Lewis and Castleton (if they improved in any way)
Traore, Hinson, Olivari and Diarra (looks like they can play and can contribute in there own unique way)

Can't wait to watch Lakers basketball again. Stop watching once we got eliminated. Hope JJ coach, just to get his feet wet.

Didn’t even think about JJ, wouldn’t mind seeing a solid offense blowing out other teams
