Klay Thompson (prominent name whose skills are declining), James Harden (he's another version of DLo during the playoffs) and Jonas Valančiūnas (he would demand being in the starting lineup that would force AD to play PF - taking him away from playing the 5 where he is one of the best) doesn't "Move the Needle" to make them on of the top teams in the Western Conference (on paper)

Demar DeRozan (his track record in the playoffs would prompt questions, plus Bulls are not willing to take DLo back)

Markkenan - Danny Ainge would want a boatload of draft choices plus Lance doesn't play much defense and it would force LBJ to play SF (hence guarding faster/quicker players than him)

Grant - he's overpriced

Hopefully Rob is not making a trade just to "Make a Trade."

Great Article Em,

There were SO MANY times last year that I felt Ham, made bad/wrong substitutions that I did not mind he being let go one bit!

Now, will a rookie coach do any better? I don't know, but there was also the fact that key Laker (role) players were injured, with Cam & Vando being key defensive players, not too mention Vincent missing most of the year.

Since there is no one player that is gonna come in and make the Lakers better than the Suns or Nuggets, I'm ok with them regrouping, refocusing and recommitting under the new Coach...!

Maybe a strategic factor in the Lakers' success is their training staff

Roger Sancho. Head Athletic Trainer. ...
Mike Mancias. Assistant Athletic Trainer. ...
Jon Ishop. Assistant Athletic Trainer/Athletic Performance Liaison. ...
Octavio Marquez Montoya. Assistant Athletic Trainer. ...
Shane Besedick. Assistant Athletic Trainer. ...
Isela Sanchez. Assistant Athletic Trainer
