I absolutely love the steeplechase.
"Hey, I have an idea. Let's have a distance race. And just for fun, let's set up some low hurdles that they have to jump over. And just for an extra bonus, let's make them jump over one hurdle and into some water!"
Seriously though, the women's steeplechase had another great finish. The defending Olympic champion from Uganda was run down by a Bahraini runner who just had conserved the perfect energy and she just shot by her in the final 50 meters or so.

Gabby Thomas pulls away in the 200 and wins it easily. And Brittany Brown, from Upland, wins bronze! The St. Lucian runner (Alfred) that won the 100 got the silver.

Well America will probably face the same criticism if the Long Beach Harbor is polluted for their swimming events in 2028.

I would not swim in it.
A good friend of mine who is a surfer got hepatitis in the ocean in Imperial Beach from the pollution coming in from the Tijuana River. Not cool at all and after seeing how sick he was, I would want no part of any dirty water. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny

Whoa just caught it on Youtube. That was an unbelievable finish. Dude just turned on the JETS!
Just watched it on the primetime broadcast. Holy crap what an amazing finish. Such an awesome Olympic moment involving underdogs and rivalries. _________________ HARRISWALZ2024
We talked about it in the lounge but that Team USA vs Serbia game was one for the ages. Rivals the 2008 gold medal game against Spain. I'm bummed I only saw the highlights. _________________ KOBE
The only bad thing about the Olympics is that everything is packed into 2 weeks. So you pretty much have to choose which events to watch and miss others. By the time you start getting into the habit of watching, its pretty much almost over. Compared to something like the World Cup where its spread out over 4 weeks and you can catch most of the action.
Another disaster for the men's 4x100 relay. Team USA needs to work on their baton passes. Its become a tradition of disastrous baton passes every Olympics.

Kind of inexcusable after all the times. _________________ HARRISWALZ2024

If you're not watching women's basketball you're missing some great games. France vs Belgium went to OT. France won 81 75. These ladies can play. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Complete embarrassment….we used to own that event…Carl Lewis has to be beside himself.
