Twitter is lit up with people questioning why Oregon is even in the playoffs despite the 13-0 record because of their and win quality schedule. Hard to say they are wrong; the Ducks look totally outmatched. _________________ "You know it seems the more we talk about it, it only makes it worse to live without it."

I think he would have been fired if there was still a 4 team playoff. |

Oregon laying an egg, can't say I am surprised as they do this seemingly every season. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny |

I’m wondering how much they are affected by rust. All the higher seeds fell behind by a lot early. And Oregon got screwed in this system. The #1 seed has to beat Ohio State, Texas and Georgia/Notre Dame/Penn State.
Oregon beat 2 playoff teams (Ohio State and Penn State) and those teams will be 4-0 in the playoffs and in the final 4 after today. |

Also I have no idea why Oregon punted on 4th and 4 around midfield down 27 when it was almost the 4th quarter. |

They definitely caught a bad draw but they also didn't even make it a competitive game. Great season but a bad day today will continue the narrative that they come up short in the big ones. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny |

I think Ohio State is going to win the whole thing, they do have the best roster. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny |

My hope is for Notre Dame. Then the NIU Huskies would be the only team that beat the Champ. 😀 _________________ "You know it seems the more we talk about it, it only makes it worse to live without it."

Solid win by ND. NIU is two ND wins away from being the unofficial National Champs! 😉😀 _________________ "You know it seems the more we talk about it, it only makes it worse to live without it."

Notre Dame with a big effort today.
SEC might be getting exposed a bit here, too bad Arizona State didn't get the friendly whistle vs. Texas or the SEC would be kaput.
I give Marcus Freeman a lot of credit. He kept his cool after that NIU loss even though it seemed to be the end of the world at the time with people calling for his head. He has his team competing hard and has recruited well, they are not going to be an easy out. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny |

Unfortunately, I think so also.
Even if Notre Dame gets past Penn State they will get murdered by Ohio State. I have never seen Notre Dame beat Ohio State in my lifetime(I don't think they have ever beat them tbh)
The ND/Georgia game seemed really subdued and an afterthought I guess given the circumstances that makes sense but the excitement was lacking. |

Neither team did much of anything offensively; Notre Dame turned the game on the sack-fumble near the end of the 1st half in a 6-3 game where Georgia tried to get greedy, instead of simply going to halftime down only by those 3 points. One pass later and you're down 13-3 at the half. Notre Dame returns the 2nd half kickoff for a TD and now you're down 20-3 with your backup QB and it was essentially game over. Take those 14 points off the board (which happened on back-to-back touches of the ball for the Irish), and the Georgia defense held Notre Dame to 3 field goals.
I don't think Penn State's defense is as good as Georgia's, so we'll see what happens. |

Just my .02 that probably won't be popular, but I think college football has suffered from pundit-itus and the ever present greed demand to have a billion playoff teams. More is not always better. For me, in college football anyway, what I want from the playoffs is a true winner, not a winner by the coaches or a winner by the reporters, and the four team playoff did just that. Maybe it meant nothing that all four winners in this round had the long layoffs and is just coincidence. Or maybe not.
Then again, I've lost interest in March Madness until it gets narrowed down. _________________ Hey Doge, ever hear of “measure twice, cut once?” It is not cut first and measure later. |

CFB playoffs need to be one round shorter. I think the playoffs last until close to the end of the month. |

James Franklin is now 1-15 against top-5 teams in his career. Got the best possible draw to the semifinal and then you don't have to face a perennial power (this isn't Knute Rockne's Notre Dame, folks), and you still lose. Great game, though. |

ND wins an exciting game to advance to the National Chsmpionship!
They will have their work cut out for the against Ohio State (I don’t see them losing tomorrow), but you never know in college football. _________________ "You know it seems the more we talk about it, it only makes it worse to live without it."

Very bad play by Allar of Penn State late to throw away a sure chance to at least go to overtime.
Penn State is the Oregon of the East Coast, they can't win the big one. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny |

He's a game manager. He tried to be a hero, but he's not that type of QB. |

Today is Marcus Freeman’s birthday I don’t expect him to celebrate a loss. So I knew they would win. I definitely agree about OSU but I feel that he has to go through his Alma mater to win it all.
I rather see Texas |

Ohio State vs Notre Dame for the championship.
I would guess Ohio State favored 7 to open. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny |

Texas gets the ball to the 1 and decides to run a toss sweep when the defense is in cover zero and has one mission: to attack the ball. So let's line up in the shotgun and pitch it wide, and give the defense a chance to pursue and drop you for a huge loss! I swear man, these savant offensive play-callers have blind spots. You literally don't need to do anything else but sneak it, or at least cram it up the middle. It's 2nd and goal from the 1. You're virtually guaranteed to get a TD with 3 plays left if you just sneak it. This is why the Eagles don't mess around; the play is virtually guaranteed to not lose yardage, and not to have an offensive penalty called, either, because the lineman aren't holding, they are just pushing forward.
I'll guess Ohio State -8.5.
EDIT: It's opened at 9.5 on FanDuel. |

Welp they got this far for a reason. I would have to take this is Notre Dame's destiny.
I admit it's a lot easier for me rooting against Ohio State than a team that has Peyton's nephew. |
