Actually Republicans MUST Be called out for BLAMING GOD

They must be blaming God if they do nothing - block all the bills democrats try to bring for sane gun control and only ask people to pray to the person responsible for the Mass Shootings.

Which political party is responsible for cutting budgets for mental health counseling?

CNN is reporting the Father was just charged with four counts of involuntary manslaughter and other charges.

And two counts of 2nd degree murder, per Yahoo.

I don't enjoy pointing out the hypocrisy of your political beliefs. Neither does anybody else.

Just save us all the time.
Just accept it.

You can take the high road.
OR
You can be against common sense gun legislation.

But you can't do both.

On second thought, it doesn't matter. The world is/will move on without you.

Apparently the dad bought him the gun even after having been contacted about alleged shooting threats prior.

This is probably the route forward if those people in power refuse to do anything.

At least my POTUS isn't out giving Thumbs Up photo ops after mass killings

I deduced that you came in and laid the (bleep) blame for a mass shooting on BIDEN. did you ever talk (bleep) about the previous POTUS..

Did you ever complain about Clinton or Obama golfing too much
Trump stole documents on identities of top secret spies and you still support him.. What can be deduced from that - Weird as (bleep)

and what was there to deduce about the EPA.. they already had a scif.. what was the need for a Trump approved one? What did they have to hide from 325 million citizens.. the actual government.. we the people.. what did they hide there. He had 24/7 armed security..

He completed whatever task he was put there to complete. They know they only hire the best people.

It falls far short of what should be done, but it’s a start.

We won’t allow minors to purchase or possess alcohol, so we definitely shouldn’t allow possession of a fire arm outside of their own private property and parents need to be held accountable for doing so.

In my opinion, he is just as guilty as his demon child...perhaps maybe more so since he knew his kid was "troubled" and still thought it wise to buy him an assault rifle.

Involuntary Manslaughter is too light of a charge but at least it is something.

I thought it appropriate to put a face on the Son and father in court for the Apalachee High School shooting.

[Serious question] What do you think the FBI should have done that they didn't do, that was permissible under the law?

More to the point, how on earth would any reasonably knowledgeable person agree with the comment that it is somehow Biden’s fault because he is allegedly “always on vacation” (a probably false statement)

The response to vlf’s asinine post had nothing to do with partisanship. In fact, unleash’s assertion is hugely ironic, because vlf’s comment was the epitome of partisan driven intellectual dishonesty. And the comment deserves to be called out because it is absolute nonsense.

One thing that needs to be done (but won't be done) is the NRA and other "gun rights" organizations need to promote responsible gun ownership and things like:

Keep your guns locked
Don't keep them loaded around the house
Keep your ammo locked
Don't let your kids, especially those with mental problems, get their hands on your guns without being under your supervision
If you're going to take your kids with you to use guns at target practice, while hunting, etc. teach them that guns aren't toys, they're not for gaining street cred, they're not for bullying other kids, they're not for getting even with a bully, etc.

Instead, these organizations are all about macho toxic masculinity and promote guns as some sort of fetish for guys who may or may not have small dicks.

In browsing this thread, among the many good comments was one that blamed Biden for what happened in a state still largely controlled by conservatives, with a Republican governor and Republican's controlling their House seats, with chief nutjob Margarie among them, and Republicans controlling both state houses, where, for the (blank to conform to rules) among us, state legislation occurs. Furthermore, if that does not make sense to those factually challenged, that is where state law governing gun legislation or any legislation related to school shootings, would occur.

Same (bleep) we get in Florida where idiots love to blame democrats for problems when republicans have had absolute control of the state government for decades.

JUST TO BE CLEAR, I agree with our current VP and I am 100% against mass shootings of any kind, be at schools, nightclubs, movie theaters, Las Vegas, etc.

My tongue-in-check comment was simply a reminder to a long-time member, to be more careful in his wording, less he suffer certain blow-back (which he did).

As far as what can be done, this has been hashed and rehashed over and over in the media and there does not seem to be any one clear answer. I'm not against gun control, but removing all the guns "out there" would never be possible. Limiting/stopping the sale of new guns, would/could slow things down. Limiting bullets won't work. Background checks don't work when the purchaser gives the damn gun to his 13/14 year-old kid!

The fact that the FBI had this kid/family on it's radar, a year prior, could have handled differently, such as with follow-ups or closer monitoring, I suppose, but they probably don't have the manpower or processes in place to track people for years. And I don't think Biden is to blame. This should not be a polital postering issue, as I am sure BOTH parties want to prevent these types on incidents. Is it impossible to predict who and when someone will commit such heinous acts?

Demented people seem to be just resourceful enough to figure out how to execute their demented plans...

As far as limiting school shootings, I suppose they could put metal detectors at entrances, but then the (demented) person could just hide a weapon somewhere prior to entering and still be able to retrieve it. Arm Teachers? more armed security, I don't know.. Sadly, its become a fact of life in the US..

Since I'm a moderator and I can say this while no one else should:

VLF is a long time poster and also long time troll when he feels like riling people up. He will enter almost any thread on any topic and purposely drop a combative little bomb in the thread then run away.

I've been watching this act for 18-years. It's why he lost his former Mod duties.

My advice -- ignore him.

So in conclusion, his posting doesn't prove anything in a larger context about LG having "right sides" and "wrong sides" on any particular issue. It's just VLF being VLF.

“My kids” is exactly what my wife calls her students. That and “my babies.” A lot of teachers give their all to their students. Still this stuff is hard to read, as I imagine her in that same scenario.
