Are the Lakers thinking they'll face Bucks in Finals or something (which would be great bc -Boston) or just back to back ease down? |

Nothing to do with that... it's all about health. _________________ "The game is MORE than just one player. Without Luka, DFS would have been more than enough to replace him based on what we've seen," LakersFever714, the greatest casual of all time. |

I didn't particularly get this one. Your franchise guy needs to step up in these situations. The team is hurt. Not like Luka is hurt. Easily could have won this game with some minutes from Luka and a few key role guys.
I guess I also come from a different time. This era of stars are load managed. I get it. I just don't see why we HAVE to rest stars. There's been no evidence that by playing back to backs stars would get more hurt than by resting.
Case and point - Wembayama and Embiid. Embiid was a MVP player. He's always been protected. Even then, he's been injury prone.
Luka's game is one that I don't think he needs to sit out. He doesn't play a very athletic physical game. He is like a point guard ala Magic only he can shoot the ball like a star wing (Magic couldn't, but obviously doesn't possess the bigman/versatlie size/talent Magic did to be able to switch 1-5).
Hope these sort of things don't bite us in the behind in HCA situations in the playoffs. I felt we should have won this one had we played Reaves/Doncic. Didn't need to tank a game/put out a G league lineup just to rest. We should have probably tried to put forth a competitive lineup. Have more road games left than home games should try to win all our remaining home games.

A little F you to the league for scheduling 6 games in 8 nights. Even though it was only supposed to be 5 games in 8 nights before the fires. |
