I assume I will largely be alone in this thread lol AnyWho unfortunately I missed the first few games of the first round of the playoffs. But this Atlanta Dream versus NY Liberty game was quite good. Sadly for ATL, Sabrina Ionescu turned into prime Michael Jordan all of a sudden in this game lol. Good game.

Well Seattle. That was a costly seven point swing at the end of the fourth.

There's a Caitlin thread elsewhere that I overwhelmed just now with three straight posts.

Lol nice!

I miss their game but I saw that her season has concluded. Well she still had a Hella rookie season that's for sure.

Future is bright.

Another game going right now, with postseason record being challenged 41 points in a game by Napheesa Collier.

Napheesa went all the way off. In general the Mercury looked like they put up a solid fight but they really looked out classed. I guess the question now is was this Diana Taurasi's final game.

Can't claim to know much about her story as I am a new fan (because of guess who?). I know she's a alltimer.

Does the WNBA allow more hard fouls, physical play than the NBA? That's what I see over the last few months in my first time occasionally watching WNBA. That and bad reffing overall.

I'm in Las Vegas but unfortunately I didn't arrive in time to catch the New York Las Vegas game. But apparently New York was on a mission.

Currently watching the Connecticut Suns versus the links and the links are a mess tonight. And apparently they don't play well against the suns in general based on what the lady was just saying so… Oh the game is almost over and Connecticut up by one... been a very tight game all game that I've seen.

Ooh clutch 3 at the end by the Sun, and bad final possession by Lynx

Welp Lynx on to Game 2

Yeah that was a terrible possession. Collier should have either shot it sooner or attempted to pass it (possibly turning it over) earlier to Carleton who was hot.

Any scuttlebutt about how the MVP Wilson did or did not perform? Stats look fine but curious nonmention of her in the ESPN article about the game. Would any NBA article about a playoff game not mention the season MVP at all?

Or maybe the WNBA writers are, like the refs, second-rate.

I didn't hear anything about A'ja but I also didn't have time to really pay attention to that game at all. I was in the middle of flying and then starting up on a job and the whole johnson. But that whole situation is similar to us and our stars, she is obviously their best player so if she's like just average/normal it's gonna be difficult for them.

And yeah I don't know that's a good question I don't know the WNBA officials the way I know the NBA officials.

Hmm 🤔

Sabrina Ionescu seems to be an entire problem for them too. It might not even been about what A'ja did or didn't do.

Las Vegas has been very unserious at the end of this game. Starting with Becky Hammond not calling that time out. OH they lucked out she missed a free throw.

Minnesota has been looking the way I thought Las Vegas was gonna look. Like sense of urgency and really back on point and getting their game together. Which of course doesn't mean they'll necessarily win because the game is not over yet but I'm just saying they look really really good. The Aces apparently looked good for the first quarter which I missed and then…. The links are at home though whereas the aces are playing on the road I will give them that concession. I just really wanted that series used to be 1 - 1 dang it! Lol

I was just saying it's odd not to even mention the MVP's name in a playoff game article. Just seems like an obvious thing to at least write her name, good or bad or neither.
Im guessing Jokic's name came up in news about their last game vs the Twolves last playoffs.

To my unknowledgeable eyes, it looks like NY is taller and maybe quicker, affecting both sides of the ball. I haven't seen much beyond the highlights, and I think Vegas had the lead most of Game 2. Do or die for the Aces pretty much in G3. They're defending champs.

Yep. NYK is a beast team and they're kind of kicking the Ace's batooties. I missed the game three but I'm glad the Aces were able to win that one. I don't care who ultimately wins the series but I want to see a competitive series between two good teams.

That said so far for game four here the Aces need to wake up and realize that the game has in fact started.

What a block by Wilson. Getting tense late in the third. 49-51. Hoping for a game 5 bc i really don't care who wins but want to see who emerges, though partial to Ionescu for 8 or 24 reasons.
