We can do a version for you too:

Hemet or Temecula

Ofc you don't, you unsatisfied old man. What do you want?

Gun to head, I'm taking Portland. Hilarious Austin has turned into LA 2.0 after Joe Rogan's exodus. Portland is filthy with the homeless and meth heads. But so is everywhere else. Plus, I'm partial to mild climates. I sweat easily.

Austin has some real amazing parts, but even those have gentrified and Austin these days is a drab Texas metropolis with some kitschy districts that aren’t worth living in Texas for.

Portland really suffered under Trump and Covid, and has never quite come back, but it is still a legit liberal city in a blue state, and in the last few years, blue neighborhood, blue city, blue state have become a lot more important.

That's about the gist of it, though I can live without bright florescent blue.

I would probably lean toward Portland, but the last time I was there, I wasn't that fond of seeing people slamming heroin right out on the street or high on tranq. It was everywhere in their downtown area. It was a bummer. I had to redirect my route multiple times while walking with my kids.

Texas is just not a place I could see myself living. Austin or San Antonio are as close as I'd get, but even still, you'd be in Big Red Texas. Any state that thinks Ted Cruz is worthy of representing it for more than a decade is morally and intellectually deficient.

I’m not a fan of the whole state of Texas. When I got my first job I had the choice of living in Houston or Louisiana. I spent 5 years in Louisiana. I haven’t spent a lot of time in Portland, when I did the weather sucked like it does here in May and June. I spent a month in Alaska and loved it. I spent time in Nashville this summer and loved it there as well. But Louisiana was my favorite.

Both (bleep) holes. My sister has lived in Portland for 25 years almost. She can’t believe what’s became of that city.

Austin at least has the advantage of no state income tax and a strong job market.

Portland is druggie homeless petty crime 3rd world garbage. Nobody should move there

Yes. They are a city of refuge for homeless drug addicts and illegals. I live in Florida. We love Portland. We export all our trash there

I live in Florida too, the trash is everywhere here not just concentrated in one area. Well except Palm Beach, there’s a huge lump of trash concentrated there.

Other than downtown Miami, there are very little homeless drug addict problems in Florida and certainly no tent city type slums you see in Portland. I live in Ft Myers. Everyone works here, it’s safe, very little drugs, and strong police force. We have plenty of undocumented workers but they at least work and don’t cause trouble.

The US should be embarrassed that Portland and Seattle even exist. But they do serve a purpose. They take all the trash everyone in the rest of the US doesn’t want. When you tolerate the intolerable, you get liberal utopias like Portland. 3rd world slums in the richest country in the world I hope they never change. I never plan to live there but they do serve a purpose

Great weather
No state income tax
Very safe where I live - Estero FL

Other than downtown Miami, it’s a great state to prosper and live comfortably.

The landscaping is immaculate. Everything is clean.

Well, to be accurate, Florida's trash isn't just limited to druggie gutter trash, they got all kinds down in America's penis.

My son goes to PSU. We just dropped him off for another year, and while there is a great deal of that around the perimeter of the campus, for the most part it is fairly concentrated and seemed a bit better than a couple of years ago when he first went there.

Portland's great. It's a little sketch in some areas but it's not that big a deal. It's got a lot to offer.

I like Boise. My son will be attending lineman school there and it’s an easy RV trip away.

I found Austin kind of tame. What are the things to do that I missed? You can only binge on brisket and go see "Live music!" so many times before it gets old.

Portland has the gorge, beautiful woods everywhere and the peculiar Oregon coast for endless fun.

lol wait aren't you that racist putz who went off on blacks after some redneck shot at Trump and missed and nobody cared? Son, Florida maintains its reputation (even in other red states) as theee place for toothless, methed out, bathsaltsy nefarious bumpkin trash. It's Florida's thing. Austin and Portland are upgrades over any of your top 20 largest cities.
