Almost everyone that played tonight will not play for the Lakers during the season, it was a audition night |

Modern NBA is so lackadaisical. People paying good money to go out to Chase Center just to see a bunch of scrubs play. I'm rooting for DK and Quincy. Everyone else SUCKS.

Have to agree here. A lot of us have been rooting for Castleton, but he just doesn't have it at the pro level.
I think his best bet is another league where the average big man isn't as bulky compared to him.
Q has cemented himself in short order. |

Curious if anyone is seeing any semblance of cohesive systems on either end of the floor from the Lakers?
Any time I have tried to watch the pre-season games it becomes unwatchable most of the time.
Warriors showed that even the bench players are playing under team concepts and have systems from starters to G-League players. Lakers look like a bunch of rec center players after calling “next”.
I will defer to those that have watched more. What are the coaches teaching? Are they just disinterested in following it? I am seeing no discipline, no communication, no plan being followed. What am I missing? |

The Lakers got beat down last night, 132-74. A 58 point spanking. The preseason is behind us. Tuesday is the beginning of the real thing. The Lakers have shown signs of good play and signs of WTF? JJ has a great personality but personalities don't feed the pit bull. If he's not coaching up to LG's standards he'll get roasted. I'm going to accord him the same reverence I did Darvin Ham. He's a first-time NBA head coach with no coaching experience. He'll make mistakes so I'll exercise patience. Tuesday, October 22 2024 will begin JJ's trial period. Good luck JJ. I'll be watching 👀
