Start over who?

Kyrie? Nope
PJ? Nope
Gafford? Nope
If he’s healthy, AD? nope

You benching Klay? Because right now without Grimes they need a sixth man and Max has been that

I LOVE Klay

I do

I called myself a Klayman and a Klaytheist and all the things

Love Klay one of my main people in the league.

But when the Dallas announcer crew were talking about well whose minutes is Max going to take I was like well Klay… It might be time to pass that baton and be a mentor and a big bro.

Why not?

Because they have no one on their bench who can get Klay shots. They aren’t exactly play maker heavy and he’s never been an iso guy or runner. Starting Klay when he has Kyrie, AD to get him shots but then playing Max a ton of minutes to interject energy, fast breaks, etc in it makes sense for them.

Why? None of them wanted to leave we traded them. .

Would be different if they were doing what Jimmy Butler was doing.

And we drafted Max so of course im rooting. Im rooting for BI,Hart,Lonzo etc as well.

AD won us a title as the best player of that playoffs run.

Max is the man. He is going to go Marc Gasol on this thing and be a high quality starter with an ASG or too AT WORST.

We are in big trouble if we don't get FVV back soon.

Yeah, Dallas got a good end of this deal as well, not just due to AD but because most non-Lakers casuals don't know that Christie is a super role player, a force multiplier who's just 21. He was already growing leaps and bounds with us, so his recent output is no surprise. Dallas might have been clued in on us as well, given their affinity with Lakers (gettiing Kidd as their coach, Dinwiddie, Kylor Kelley, and approaching us for AD). They also immediately traded the underrated, productive Quentin Grimes to the Sixers just to give Christie more SG minutes.

But I do wonder, if we didn't have to make salaries match, could we have taken Max out of this deal? Granted, it's Luka so you'll throw the kitchen sink. And Dallas wanted to use Luka to shed Kleber's 7.8mil. But Max would have fit excellently on our team with Luka, so one wonders how much (and if) Rob even haggled with Nico on this.

Given that Nico was so gullible, if we needed to get up to 11mil instead of 8mil, did Rob choose to offer Gabe instead at any point, plus a pick swap to sweeten the pot? Wonder if there was some negotiation on that end.

Lakers really nailed it with Christie and AR during the draft. Christie’s development helped us land a top 3 player in the NBA, Dallas fans are gonna quickly fall in love with Max

That's just being petty. They were ours. We valued them. We know how good they are.

We want them to play well, and then come back to the Lakers in a few years

I wasn't even upset about losing AD.

But losing Max felt like a punch to the gut. True pro, worked on his game, played well in summer league and preseason every year he was here, got shafted by Darvin Ham who wasted a year of his development. He finally gets his shot under JJ, earns a starting role, then gets traded. I'll always root for Max.

Come back in a few years? Max & Knecht, sure, AD, we know that ain't happening. What we really hope for is that they play well, just not against us!

The only bad part of the AD experience. The man is a warrior and the best two way player in the game. But once a week he will collapse to the floor and look like he’s out for the season. But then he will be back in the same game or in the next one, looking like nothing happened. Not good for the heart of fans.

Wemby does so many unneccesary things on offense. Whats the point of the stepback middy when you're 10ft tall?

Just face up and shoot over them smh.

Im on the Wemby goat train but Spurs gotta coach that out of him.

(bleep) hell all Yao did was shoot over folks when he faced up.

This dude be thinking he's KD way too much.
