Through three games, what is your impression? And how do you rank them from best to worst? _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

JJ is the best coach in the NBA.
Over Spoelstra and Popovich? (Although Popovich has been coasting off reputation for a while.) _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:
Easily best coach since Phil because the Lakers actually look like they are being coached rather than it being a glorified pickup game amongst stars.
JJ is a basketball nerd and it shows in his detail, play calls, and philosophy. Too many NBA coaches just do nothing but sub out guys and attempt to “motivate”. JJ has the Lakers running actual plays and I think it helps that when he was a player he needed plays run for him to maximize his game. And now he’s doing the same for his team.
Adjusting mid game based on film is what you see in the NFL so it’s good he’s doing that same thing with basketball.
JJ right now, but let’s waiting until the end of the season before we judge. I’m sure like every other coach we’ve ever had (even Phil and Riley) the fans will hate him as soon as we have a losing steak.
Already calling for championship 18 as soon as we hired JJ. I love smart guys. _________________ Lakers used to average one championship every four years but I'd gladly take one every ten years now.
I don’t know when the appropriate time would be…after 10 games? IST?, Trade deadline? Post season positioning? Playoff performance?…but it does appear to be obvious that 3 games in is way too early to even make a prediction of a reasonable evaluation for comparing.
I’ll pass on the vote to see if this tread is available after at least 10 games and then reconsider. It’s probably better to get at least a half season and probably a full one in to weigh in on such a pondering. _________________ When it’s a reasonable possibility, I expect the Lakers to go after a ship like it can’t be denied. I haven’t seen a respectable effort by the Front Office for the last two off seasons nor the last trade deadline. What is going on?
Contending teams win on the road. Character is built on the road. Coaching struggles also take place on the road. Teams sink or swim on the road, especially in the playoffs.
It's a good sign that they are taking care of business at home, but there's a lot more work to be done, and Redick has a lot more to prove. 3 games is way too early to make these kinds of assessments. _________________ Yi Jianlian Fanboy. Respect The Chair.
Starting anew. I'm retiring my main.
Way too early to tell. Let's wait until the all-star break to give him a mid season report and then after the season is over to fully evaluate his coaching ability.
