With the lakers making JHS an expiring contract it makes me wonder if a trade is still on the horizon? Right now it looks like we would have a package of Dlo, JHS, Gabe, Vando and two FRP. So far we’re off to a pretty good start and none of these players have really been a big part of it. Dlo has been ok but his scoring has been pretty poor.

So, how do we feel about revisiting the proposed trade for one of these two over paid stars? At the end of the day our depth isn’t what we thought it would be anyway. Why not make improve the talent in the starting 5?

Initially, I wanted Trae young more than Levine because of age. However, with Austin being a primary ball handler now I’m thinking Lavine would be the better fit.

Austin/fultz
Lavine/max
Rui/knecht
Lebron/ wood
AD/howard

I’m thinking we trade dlo, JHS, vando, Vincent and a FRP to Chicago for Levin. This opens up roster spots to sign Fultz and Howard. Also leaving a roster spot open for another trade or waivers.

Another option would be sexton and Kessler for Dlo and JHS. Is Colin good enough to start though? Start dalton at the 2?

The Bulls have been trying to get rid of Lavine for 2 seasons. If anyone wanted him, a trade would have happened by now. He also has the worst contract in the league.

No 1 seems to bringing up BI but I would give it a 40% chance that we try to engage with the Pelicans on a Ingram trade, BI would automatically help us much more then DLO as the 3rd option

Salary dump teams,
Bulls for sure, LaVine, Lonzo, Vucevic
Bucks in a month I hope, Portis or BroLo for expiring be ok
Wizard, Kuzma, Jonas… maybe 2nd rd picks be enough
Nets maybe
Toronto maybe

DLo-JHS-Cam-SRPs should do it but we want Jonas too so maybe a FRP and add Gabe?

Gabe is doing the Lakers no favor right now in getting a quality big with his play, Gabe is playing like he should join Kendrick Nunn in Europe

No, look at their contracts. Over $45 million per year owed. No thanks.

The reason you couldn't think of Trae Young is because he's little in stature, and in name recognition for those who don't want to spend a fortune on a player who is fine for the regular season, but hunted mercilessly in the playoffs.

Trae is also hunting opponents, while dishing out assists.

In two years LeBron might retire, does Trae fit with AD? I really feel D. Fox will find his way to LA.

I know Trae and Lavine are expensive but would we really be missing the trash we are giving up? We would probably only miss Dlo’s playmaking.

Max? Hasn’t done anything
Vincent? Hasn’t done anything
Vando? Gave us a couple months of good basketball and has been injured since.

I’d rather have Lavine, Trae or Ingram like someone said. We can get the garbage production that these guys are giving us from minimum guys or players on the waver wire.
