Shams:

The Lakers land a versatile, 3-and-D addition with Dorian Finney-Smith, who is shooting a career-high 44% from 3-point land. L.A. also creates salary and luxury tax flexibility, saving $15 million. Nets receive draft capital and clean salaries in return.

Real 3&D wing

Prepared for his 3point percentage to dip by 8-10% points when he puts on our jersey.

Can he run an offense and get his teammates good looks in their shooting pocket?

Great job Rob Pelinka, and I’m sure he’s gonna make more moves in the next couple of weeks we are not done

Gets us further away from the second apron. We were right up against the line before this. Now we have a couple million in terms of breathing space and could theoretically pick up a min contract mid season if we cut someone.

Great, but he can't do that for 48 minutes a game. DLo was needed on this team.

Was a Sixers guard who made a little noise for them a couple years back but has mostly been a kind of inconsistent guard, iirc. Honestly not sure what he can or can’t bring to the table since I haven’t watched him much.

I like to see how he does on floor with AD and Vando if that ever happens.

I wonder if he is automatic starter, definite upgrade from Christie right?

Cool. Like it.

DLO clearly wasn’t a fit anymore with his incredibly inconsistent play and always disappointing playoff performances. His role especially become redundant with Austin Reaves taking over the PG role.

Good luck DLO.

We lacked a tough and gritty guy with Vando being out for so long.

Good pickup.

Gave up 3 second-round pics, Lewis and DLO for aging role players (likely high second-rounders too given LBJ is retiring soon). Great lol.

Dumb and dumber running the show. Did this stupid stuff in the past... you think 2027 is far away until it's not.

Shake Milton is the same age as DLO.

Milton is salary filler and maybe a 12th man on this roster.

Good trade. I liked DFS going back to his Mav days. Finally Pelinka makes a move but they need a followup trade.

Anyone know how far they are under the 2nd apron now? I believe they were only $35k under it before the trade.

Now that the initial sting of losing DLo has subsided slightly... I hope DFS feasts with us.

Will these two be available to play on Tuesday? I know physicals and stuff take a while, but we have two days in between.

Don't like the move. With Christie and Hachimura playing well recently didn't think this was necessary.

The league is moving more towards more guard play and for all the inconsistency in DLO he was still a more valuable piece imo.

But I also was starting to feel a disconnect between Dlo, the coaching staff and the rest of the team. Probably needed to move on from both sides

Not saying getting rid if dlo is bad but this was a bad return. Unless DFS is your center he is at a crowded position at F and frankly he isn't a good solution at center. And you lost your primary ball handler outside of Lebron in the process.
