The two road games in Texas will be a stern test for the Lakers. There's no time for a letdown.
We'll need the same type of effort and continuity that the team showed against the Hawks.
If we can maintain that level of play, we should be in good shape.

Rob is a mystery. He's making some good moves. The new acquisitions are fits. When we get to full strength this team is going to make some noise. The Hawks was a good win but they aren't what they used to be. The Rockets will be a real test. They're a good team 22-12. Ime Udoka has them playing hard. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Maybe beating Cleveland was expecting too much, especially since we were integrating new players. But this is a true barometer game. Are we coming together for reals, or Fakers? The Rockets are in the same tier as we are, or at least we're trying to prove we truly belong in this second tier after OKC, and that it won't be another bottom tier playin year. _________________ Westside Knecht gang, Knecht gang, bing-bing bang!

Preferences/evaluations can be different based on individual opinions but I don’t see the Lakers in the tier with Hou/Mem. Even if the Lakers pull Hou down into the mud with them by winning the next game, there’s still more work needed to climb up to the tier with Mem.
1st tier - OKC
2nd tier - Mem/Hou
3rd tier - LAL/Den/Dal/LAC _________________ When it’s a reasonable possibility, I expect the Lakers to go after a ship like it can’t be denied. I haven’t seen a respectable effort by the Front Office for the last two off seasons nor the last trade deadline. What is going on?
This game will be an actual test. The way we've won the last two games isn't going to work against a team like Houston or a Coach like Mr maybe ex Nia Long. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

I don't think those trending records are going to stand pat. It's fluid, and I do not believe Memphis and Houston has separated from the pack. Especially Houston, they are young, unproven and bad shooters. They hustle though, which explains their record. I mean it is pretty sad if Houston is on a different tier than AD and Bron. Then what are we doing? Lets just rebuild. _________________ Westside Knecht gang, Knecht gang, bing-bing bang!

Rockets did such a good job rebuilding from Harden. Imagine if they had gotten Wemby in the draft instead of Amen Thompson. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:
AD always struggled against good passing and shooting centers: Jokic, Sabonis, and Houston’s Sengun is one of those guys. If lakers can shoot close to 40% from three than it’s going to be W.

Random but I don't know where else to put this; Kyle Korver was just in the coffee shop where I was sitting right behind me lol. I noticed that this person had very long legs and was rather tall. And then when I got up to go to the restroom I saw their face I was like 'oh wow' and I could tell he could tell that I recognized him but I didn't say anything or interrupt him or anything like that (he was hanging with a friend). What was random was the section of town I'm in is fine but it certainly nothing Special. Maybe he has something to do with USC? Or are the Hawks still in town? Ankywhoo Yeah… there was my Saturday afternoon moment lol

Not sure if the Rockets are as good as their record would suggest. Besides Sengun, their main players shoot a bad percentage. But they're great defensively and get plenty of fast breaks off their defense.
This game could be a defensive struggle, which is not the kind of game we want to play. _________________ Lakers 49ers Chargers Dodgers

Girth and brute strength
I think AD still doesn't know how Big he himself is
Career projection for him through middle school and into sophomore year was a guard/pt guard then he grew 8-9 more inches in a year and a half pushing pt dreams outta the picture
Quote:
Davis had one of the biggest growth spurts in league history. The big man went from 6-2 to 6-11 between his sophomore and junior seasons
Quote:
Hayward did not think his growth spurt was coming. His father was 5-10, and Hayward was 5-8 during his sophomore season. He then sprouted up to 6-8 by his senior year. That is a ridiculous 12 inches in two years. One whole foot is definitely one of the more youthful growth spurts among active NBA stars

analytics say we get smashed
Saw favorites to win Houston at like 68% vs our 32%
I say we smash these youngsters
Analytics Smalytics, they don't bounce, shoot, or guard the basketball. Good teams that want it and good coaching is where I put my money. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.
