Max is the most productive player of the trade and we miss him.
Wonder if Williams would have helped us win tonight? |
Luka is not hurt. He’s cleared to play without any minutes restrictions. |
He just needs to play. We have inferior talent than mavs. He will adjust. This isn’t our year. Win as many as we can. Build around him next year. _________________ https://www.instagram.com/reel/DDfvXWXvpeb/?igsh=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ== |

I feel like we are letting Rui off the hook. You can’t miss 2 free throws in that situation. |

Or 7 wide open 3s. Or inexplicable defensive rotations. |

Rui runs into the paint for rebounds he isn't going to fight for, to leave three point shooters wide open he won't be running back to. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

50 3pt attempts in the last 2 losses...
They are changing their style of play.
No way you lose back2back games to 2 of the bottom 4 teams... |

JJ should not be trying to make this a 3 point shooting team and go away from what has been working.
Last two games have been dog crap. |

Also, I know this sounds weird but what happened to the days of lots of practices. I feel teams don’t really practice like they used to.
Off to Portland. Let’s hope for a better effort tomorrow. |

Can’t drop these type of games. These will come back to haunt them later on in the season.
The schedule is brutal the rest of the way |

Rui and AR effed up, but you still need to win against teams that prefer ping pong balls. I'd like Luka to stop being a pass first guy. He's in the middle of the paint and hesitant cause he thinks he'll draw a defender, so he can kick out to open man. Then the last minute decision is to shoot a weird or off balance shot. This indecisiveness is not helping his rhythm. Just make baskets man, then the collapsing will happen naturally. He's not making baskets, and he's just trying to draw doubles on the THREAT of shooting.
I'm not panicking since Luka hasn't debut yet. LOL! This is obviously not the Luka we traded for. Lets give him a minute or two. _________________ "The game is MORE than just one player. Losing to the Jazz who was trying to lose was a red flag but everyone just shook it off as just Luka's second game. Championship contenders don't lose to tanking teams. _________________

Bad loss, but they played like sh*t from jump and still were one possession from tying it.
Luka needs to get the rust out of his system and we will be fine.
You can't play much worse than we did and we were still in the game.
I just wish I didn't waste my night watching it. |

If there were no wild fires we wouldn't even have a game though. This is the makeup game, Lakers should still be resting, and they looked like it. Very out of sorts for most of it. Turning the ball over 18 times, with 9 coming in the first quarter I think. |
Resting? They've had a week off! |

We shouldn’t have been in that position tbh.
I thought it was more the terrible shooting all night outside of that spurt in the 4th. |

I thought Hornets are in a race against Utah for that top 3 spot? This win put them in 4th worst now. _________________

True. I should have said AR was 1 of the reasons we lost. His scoring would have gotten us over the hump. It was only a 3-point loss. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.

I know you're yearning for the good ol' days again, but let me remind you. The Lebron/AD Lakers went into Dallas and lost to the Mavs without Kyrie, or Luka. They just lost to Charlotte, but they only beat Charlotte by 5 points in the prior meeting, and it took an insane effort by AD, it was his 40/20 game. We simply weren't a good team with AD. I mean AD is good, but the team wasn't good. Then in Philly, even when AD was playing, we were getting spanked by the Sixers without Embid and PG13. That's the game AD got hurt. Then after AD was gone... miraculously, we've been playing the best basketball of the year. So I don't look at it as Luka replacing AD. I look at it as adding Luka to that post-AD offense we've been spanking teams with. It will take a minute. The sky is falling reaction would be to falsely remember we were good with AD. We've been pretty much mediocre with him, so much so, people didn't even know if JJ made a difference over Ham. If we're not winning a chip this year, you're beating yourself up with made-up memories if you think they would have won it with AD... when we haven't won since 2020. It's time to move on. Luka is barely turning 26. That's our future. _________________ "The game is MORE than just one player.
