He spent the best three years of his life in the third grade, and no he must be up in the front row.
RIP

Wasn't super into baseball like I am these days but as a kid, I only knew of him as the dad from Mr. Belvedere. It wasn't until years later that I found out he was a former ball player and a baseball announcer.

Ninety years? That's all he got, ninety god*amn years?!?!
RIP, Harry Doyle, err, Bob Uecker. One of the most perfect voices for a sports announcer of all time, and he was as funny as any comedian you'll find. An absolute legend.

I was just reminded of a Cardinal team picture from the 60’s-70’s. They had to reshoot it because Uecker and Bob Gibson were holding hands with goofy looks on their faces. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023.

I remember him as Phil Niekros personal catcher with the Braves Joe Torre could not catch the knuckle ball and the manager didn't want him to get beat up, So Niekro and Torre probably kept him in baseball. A hugely funny guy who came off as an authentic good guy. RIP Mr Baseball.

Sad to say, but the day after I posted this, my brother passed away in a terrible car accident. _________________ You are under no obligation to remain the same person you were a year ago, a month ago, or even a day ago. You are here to create yourself, continuously. - Richard Feynman
