In their Next 40 games,
26 Games vs 0.500 and above teams
14 Games vs below 0.500 teams
Currently their record vs 0.500 and above teams is only 10-17
I don't know if they can maintain their playoff spot with this sched.
I think they need to win all their 14 games vs below 0.500 teams and win at least 12+ vs 0.500 and above to have a safe playoff spot.
With the way they are playing vs good teams, I doubt a 12+ wins
They need luck here and hope that those teams below them will not win against good teams. Also they really need to beat the remaining sched vs Suns, Wolves, Mavs, and Warriors to gain an advantage, if not they will be in the play-in spot.
As of now I still consider them as play-in team. The playoff spot now is due to easier schedule. |

To be fair, there only 9 teams that are clearly below .500 (nine out of 30 teams). Two other teams (SAS and Miami) will be above and below .500 throughout the season.
So most teams will definitely play more .500 and above teams especially in the West. |

At least there will be fewer excuses for the Lakers to mail it in, since they won't play as many inferior teams.
They do seem to play a lot harder against teams that are better than them. _________________ Lakers 49ers Chargers Dodgers |

If we can stay healthy. I like our chances. With Christie, DFS, and Vando. We have some defenders in the rotation. _________________ When the world grows. Grow with it. |

Lol, this exact ratio (26/40, or 65%) is the number of above .500 teams in the league generally. This isn't an outlier schedule.
We're 13th in strength-of-schedule remaining. Not easy, but not difficult either. I think we've had a pretty balanced schedule this year https://www.tankathon.com/remaining_schedule_strength |
