First thought when I heard it was of Mexican registry. GOP scum are going to seize on that to politicize it the same way they did the DC crash.

they're stealing our healthcare, they're crashing planes into american streets, pilot had just been jabbed, many such cases

And aiding in putting out our fires . . .

Makes you wonder how long the crew had been flying today. All the experts are saying that the 55 is a difficult and temperamental craft to fly due to very precise balance issues with passenger and fuel loading and placement.

I'm not speculating, but one wonders if fatigue factored into a flight made more difficult by weather conditions and instrument flying.

Perhaps because of that, they failed to do every maintenance check that needed to be done; that was one possible theory that an aviation expert just floated out there on CNN. Whatever happened, and whatever the conditions were, some massive failure onboard the plane happened, because you can see the plane is already on fire as it plummets to its horrific demise. The expert also posited that in tough conditions like this where visibility may have been an issue, that a pilot can become disoriented and lose their sense of direction, and I recall that this was very much discussed in the Kobe Bryant helicopter tragedy. But if the pilot did lose a sense of direction somehow, it doesn't necessarily explain the fire we see before it even crashes, does it?

Just so, so sad, on so many levels.

Of course they don’t rake leaves . . . They have leaf blowers.

Tragic regardless of cause for sure.

It may not have been in fire. What looks like fire is possibly a combination of light reflecting off the fuselage and lens aberration on video. What looks to be a flash of fire erupting is apparently the lights of the aircraft emerging from the dense cloud and into the lights of the city. At least according to one expert.

Shai Gold, the Managing Director for Corporate Strategy of the Jet Rescue Air Ambulance, is saying that the escort of the child patient was the girl's mother. The child patient had recovered from whatever medical care she was receiving and was going to go back to Mexico as the final destination.
