Its like what are we even talking about lol. A bucket.

Who cares we won by 20 Bronny can do whatever he wants when the game is over.

He should play more G-league games though.

Max was really good tonight.

He’s only 21 years old.

He makes big boy buckets down low. Going to be a very good player for a long time.

Cormac Christie with 15 on 6/10 from the field while guarding Brunson, who had 17 points on 18 shots, was really nice.

DFS with 5/6 from 3 is really otherworldly.

Vando had 8 rebounds off the bench in 13 minutes. Really nice because we did struggle in this one, at times, getting defensive rebounds to close out possessions.

Knicks’ defense was god awful. It really helped that we were hitting our open threes, but damn if they didn’t keep giving us any shot we wanted.

I just think we abused Towns all game.

Really good win. The guys really showed up tonight and played good defense on the road against a good team. They executed their offense and made shots. I certainly did not expect a win tonight without AD, and we got a convincing one.

Exactly - same thoughts here. I expected it to be a tough slog. We did limit turnovers almost to parity with the Knicks. Very good shooting from the Laker squad, and some consistent defense on the road in MSG is great to see.

He has a really good mentality where he takes what is given to him. I am so used to guys just settling for 3's, or passing around the perimeter. Max will fake the 3 and attack the basket. Or wander into the key when they run zone, and break down the defense to get a nice look.

Like you said, he is only 21, but he already shows the ability to help us in multiple ways while playing really steady and solid defense.

JJ is turning into a very solid coach in just his 1st season as HC, he makes this team play hard no matter who’s in or out of the line up

having 5 guys who can switch on D and can all shoot is the modern NBA...I'd rather keep Rui, rather than trade for a center.

He is the young star we thought THT was. Loads of skill and potential there.

Just a couple games ago after the Philly debacle most here were calling for JJ's head.

The DFS/Vando combo together on the floor help guys like Bron/Rui immeasurably, given both are versatile long defenders, with one providing shooting and the other being a super glass cleaner

Allows Bron/Rui to focus on offense

This team needs a backup center in the biggest way but i never want it to be rui who gets traded.

Rui is wasted on the starting lineup. He's a gunner of the bench.

Sure he's not Lue Williams but he's good enough overall on offense where you can tell him to focus on scoring.

But hayes and Koloko cant be your legit backup bigs. It's not going to work. It didn't work this game either. Knicks dominated us on the boards.

They had 16 offensive boards

Not me, I mentioned that it’s gonna take a while for him to become a legit coach but being a very solid coach in his 1st season is a good step, he likely won’t win the title this year but he’s becoming someone you can trust for the next couple of years

Also supplemented with Max. I agree, DFS/Vando are having a huge impact on the Lakers defense, and that's what it takes to control games and keep a lead. That and not turning the ball over of course. Great games tonight.

This team is rolling. Let's just keep Rui and Gabe. Trade JHS (+ Cam or Wood) for a lower salary big. Wish it could've been Nick Richards, but it wasn't meant to be.

I've accepted that we're most likely not getting Kessler. Get a decent backup big and have Hayes be the third stringer. Vuc, Capella, RW3, etc. are not worth losing Rui or Gabe.

I agree. But AD is not going to like it.

True, but a decent backup is better than nothing

JHS for D'Ayron Sharpe works on the ESPN trade machine.

So does JHS + Wood for Drummond and Reggie Jackson (who we could probably cut to open a roster spot for the buyot market).

The guys are all gelling so well right now. All these 10-20 milion a year centers just aren't worth weakening our depth IMO.

Winning a title in the NBA is hard it’s why so many great players haven’t win it, I consider this year to be our best shot at doing something with AD and LeBron, standing pat is gonna be a huge risk, unless the Lakers believe LeBron can turn it on and become a different force in the playoffs

It's all good. Just throwing your words back in your face. We all know that you have been trying so hard to throw other LG'ers opinions back in their face. Saying we should win because we have Bron. Then blaming Bron when we lose. Total hypocrisy in your posts that mock the Lakers while crying over other peoples posts.

The reason we didn’t do much in the past 2 playoffs is because of Denver just expose our issues. We probably could’ve won the chip 2 years ago, and went much further last year, and no, it isn’t about jokic. We even contained Murray last year. We can’t match up with MPJ and more importantly AG.
I am hoping we can get an upgrade at backup center, but unless the center is someone like turner who fits into our switching scheme. I’d rather get more wings and a guard.

Recency bias.

They played their hearts out tonight. But too many times we've seen this team come out lackadaisical

I said we would win. And said why we would. I blame the captain and give him credit. That’s how it works.
