UCONN didn't have a great year (24-12) and was an 8th seed in the Tournament before losing in the 2nd round to the National Champions Florida Gators. Let Hurley navigate the NIL portal....

This is JJ's 1st year, why wouldn't he have a job? |

Also footage of him getting into full arguments with fans. He's lost it. We dodged a bullet. |

Him getting a high-profile job like ours would have been very enabling. _________________ Luxury Tax/FA Spreadsheet (Save to your Google Drive to edit) |

Crazy that he threatened a fan in the stands with violence. Seems like he can't handle losing. |

According to Jeanie she gave Pelinka the full authority to find someone he aligned with vision wise and he chose Hurley.
So they went after him, not the other way round. Got rejected, which is usually the case when you chase elite college coaches. Just power alone, not even close. NBA is run by star players and GMs, coaches are tossed like garbage. NCAA coaches have way more power.
Since they always had JJ in the back pocket as well, they went for it. I don't think Hurley conspired this stuff, but like any good businessman, if you can position yourself in a bidding war and get a raise, you should do it.
I never really thought Hurley's way would work in the NBA, but I don't fault him for doing what he did $$$ wise. |
