Pau. 3 Finals/2 Rings.

But AD is a better player.

So Devan George is greater Laker than AD? Mark Madsen? I think the results of this poll simply reflects nostalgia.

They are both 25 yrs old, and you have to choose one, none of you would choose Pau over AD... if you know basketball. So that makes AD the greater Laker.

AD is the greater player and talent, but Pau had more impact on winning because his skillset was exactly what we/Kobe needed at precisely the right moment with how the game was played then.

AD would have been 10x more valuable 15 years ago, which is crazy considering how valuable he already is. Speaks to his talent.

Pau is greater and I think talent wise it's closer than one may think.

I watched every single one of Pau and AD's games as Lakers and while AD consistently put up bigger numbers, I don't know if I'd say he's that much "better" as a player.

AD's defense is insane so that puts him above Pau, but on offense I don't know, I kind of prefer Pau's game. Better passer, better post moves, had he developed a 3 point shot (which I'm sure he would have in this era) his scoring averages would also look a lot better. Plus Pau consistently played with two guys who played his PF/C role nearly as well as he did in Odom and Bynum.

I LOVE Pau. LOVE HIM. he never approached AD as a talent and never came close to doing what AD did in the 2020 playoffs. He did bring us 2 rings though and I think his post career actions and relationship with the Bryant family wins me over. But on the court, AD is definitely better on both ends. Pau also had his consistency and disappearing problems and he never had the highs AD had.

Pau for more scoring
AD for more rebounds and defense.

So i guess it depends who we play, the detroit bad boys type team or the Dantoni Suns

Pau in today's NBA would be a different beast. He definitely would be dropping threes

It seems like that because of the stats but Pau always struck me as the more versatile scorer (more moves).
