Only thing I question is his height. Is he actually 6’11? He looks a little shorter. But I guess we won’t know for sure until the combine. _________________ LUKA FREAKING DONCIC WHAT IS THIS TIMELINE?!

I was going to make one of this thread a few days ago as it has been on my mind too.
Amari Williams is currently projected to go undrafted from Kentucky. Does a lot of things you want from your center.
I’m an Arkansas fan so I watch a lot of Ivisic twin brother big Z. Both will show flashes but would stay away from both. Neither has the athleticism, toughness or strength IMO to be a real player NBA.
Trevon Brazile is the guy who might pop from Arkansas. Was a projected lottery pick few years ago before tearing ACL. 6-10. 7-3.5 wing span. Quick. Can jump out of the building. Nice 3 point shot. Motor is the question. Last game reminded us of he was before the ACL.
Windmills, blocks, 3 point shots. Modern day NBA big. Weighed in at only 215 last year at combine. Would need to add strength.

Who here has watched a lot of Cooper Flagg? Is it crazy of me to think he's not a surefire hit? Like Wemby, I can see it easily. Even Zion was easy. His issue is just health and food. LOL! But Cooper's game seems to be a dime a dozen in the history of the game. I've seen KG comparisons, but KG had a prettier and smoother game. Not only that, Cooper is only 6'9. Has anyone compared him to Shareef Abdur Rahim? I think that's a closer comparison in terms of size, but again, Shareef was smooth. NBA draftnet says Scottie Pippen. LOL! I don't see it. I don't think he has the handles to be point forward. I think Larry Johnson more than Pippen. Larry had that power game, and some dribble drive ability. But Larry was 6'7. Anybody remember #1 pick Joe Smith? If Joe played in today's league, he'd probably have a 3-ball like Cooper, and the rest would look very similar in terms of size and athletic ability. Joe couldn't do his thing in the NBA though. Who knows, maybe Cooper Flagg will be the first Cooper Flagg. _________________ "The game is MORE than just one player. Cooper Flag is a stud....can't miss all star caliber player. He can shoot, jump, pass, handle the ball etc.....he's 10x better than Joe Smith, Shareef, Larry and the guys you mentioned. I mean it's not even close.

10x better than Shareef huh? If this isn't hyperbole, then that would be the greatest PF in the history of the game. LOL! Because Shareef was pretty damn good. _________________ "The game is MORE than just one player. What kind of pick in the 2025 draft could the lakers get for the 1-4 protection on our 2027 frp? Could we get Brooklyn's 3rd frp this year, currently #27? Would you do that trade? I think I would. Our draft crew finds value.

That isn't close to being true. All 3 of those guys were better collage players than Flag. Better rebounders and Shot blockers also. Flag is good. He isn't a great shot blocker and a decent rebounder. He is far from can't miss _________________ Previously Knecht4 and CamReddish

We probably can. I doubt Brooklyn wants to use 3 1st round picks this season, we would have to add a 2nd and some cash or something probably.
I think they use that pick in a trade for a player though _________________ Previously Knecht4 and CamReddish

It's a late 2nd round pick. Not exactly great trade bait my guy.
Also I feel like this is said EVERY SINGLE YEAR when in reality, IT NEVER HAPPENS. Literally not a single time has this sorta event happened. Once we draft the player, we keep the player.
That's been our history. _________________ LUKA FREAKING DONCIC WHAT IS THIS TIMELINE?!

All of them got traded. Rob is quite efficient and a terminator at trading our picks. Some a bit later but they all go. Bronny will be the only one who stays and everyone knows why.
Would I love for them to develop one and stay with the Lakers long term? Yes but realistically he will be the first one used as bait for a bigger piece to the championship puzzle. _________________ Yi Jianlian Fanboy. Respect The Chair.

All of them got traded literally years after. Not at or after draft night.
Don’t be obtuse or try to move goal posts please. You knew exactly what the point was. I know you’re not stupid. _________________ LUKA FREAKING DONCIC WHAT IS THIS TIMELINE?!

Is the 2nd round pick our own? It probably doesn’t matter much. The odds that we will get someone who could earn immediate playing time on this team are slim. We actually got really lucky last year with our first round pick to get a guy who could help immediately. You’re not going to get someone like that with a 2nd rounder.

Click on their mock and you can see where the Lakers are drafting. It’s late second.
Alex Condon at 41. If the Lakers can grab him as 2nd round pick like Bronny. Don’t work out on any teams. Get 3 years plus one. He’s still developing. Can run and athletic and good feel for the game. His bbiQ with a potential to be an offensive hub and can be an outside threat.
