Im gunna go out on a limb and say moving on from AD and Ham were great decisions…

Go Lakers!!!!

Gotta include acquiring Luka on the limb or it’s a deceptively insufficient deduced assumption for the “decision”. It’s a common misconception confusing Causality vs Correlation as a fallacy. Moving from AD/Ham has a correlation to the increased success but the primary cause of the success was acquiring Luka.

I know it is a technicality, but I’m pointing it out mostly to oppose dumping on AD…I perceive it as that…to praise Luka. It’s not necessary imo to act like AD was a negative tho it seems popular among Laker fans to do that since the trade. It’s not that AD was not good and Luka fixed a bad thing. AD was great for the Lakers, Luka is greater for the Lakers.

Except the Lakers were 31-19 (62%) prior to Luka playing for us . . . better than either of Ham's seasons.

Yeah, replacing Ham for JJ (and his well picked Vet staff) was hands down the primary cause if we're talking the full Season and a huge reason we have a chance to contend this Season imo. Seeing young players and vets alike playing there best basketball and clearly improve as the Season goes is at least partially because the Coaching staff knows wtf they are doing and actually putting players in the right spots to maximize there strengths and minimize weaknesses. It's been night and day this Year versus the past several.

Also, AD is clearly a HOFer but seeing how excited and rejuvenated Bron has been says it all.. He can finally do what he's been begging for the last Several Years especially and that's to pass the Franchise player baton to Luka since AD made it clear he sure as hell didn't want it and that was only going to lessen going forward imo. Steph and Butler barely made the play-in as well which was our ceiling with AD and a very likely exhausted if not already injured Bron as well so it's not like AD is getting thrown under the bus.

Luka barely hitting his prime is absolutely that much better then 33 Year old AD. Luka gives you that Kobe like confidence that you can possibly beat anyone while in his prime if you give him a solid roster.. AD never remotely gave me that kind of confidence unless Bron was at an all time great level as well like in the Bubble which was the only time AD has been a cold stone perimeter player for such a long stretch as well. You can still give AD his flowers while admitting it was just simply time to move on and happily move on up as a better team with Luka.
