@ Bulls
@ Grizz
vs Rockets
vs Warriors
vs Pelicans
@ Thunder
@ Thunder
@ Mavs
vs Rockets
@ Blazers

They will lose to the grizz, thunder 2x, coz they just cant win at road vs good teams at this stage.

They cant beat the bulls length and at home so another loss

They probably split the rockets 2 games, so 1-1 vs them

they will prolly beat the pels, mavs, warriors and pels

so 5-5

Yes he should still lol. did you see rui defense in the 4th? lmfao. he got too small taunt from pacers lmfao. He was lucky he hit his 2 shots. With all of that, dfs is still at par at him on offense.

pray that your rui will always hava a good shooting night, coz he will drag these lakers team to the ground.

LOL. I don’t think he’s important enough to be able to drag the team to the ground.

I just don’t think he should be given 0 minutes while DFS plays 40+

We need both of them.

The Pacers are the fourth best team at home after Lakers, OKC and Cavaliers. I'd say that winning against them fits "beating a good team at road"

I think we can go 6-4 or 7-3, and finish out 50-32 or 51-31. Hoping for HCA over the Grizz in round 1.

Mainly concerned not about our record but the defense improving. We really bled a lot in the 2nd half last night and were lucky to win. The defense has really been exposed in the last few weeks. Was concerned it was the Lebron/Rui injuries but even with them back, we're struggling to stop teams.

When we were on that win streak we were playing much better defense. Maybe it was the weak comp, IDK. We need to play elite defense to make a Finals/title run.

Lol, that also isn't true. The Pacers are 18-9 against the Western Conference. Conversely, the Lakers are just 14-15 against Eastern Conference teams.

Too early to tell. Lebron definitely isn't 100% - at best 60-70% right now. Rui too is ramping up, he's maybe 80-90% - stamina isn't fully back so he fades on defense as the game goes on.

Not to say the defense will be super with these too back to 100%, just not as porous as it is now. (Reaves+Luka on the floor and/or Vando at the 5 will always leak points against certain matchups)

Our defense is highly execution-dependent. Maybe that is an obvious statement, but with the lineups we play we have very little margin for error and rely heavily on activity. Much more than a team with solid defenders at every position. You see how it looks when everyone is locked in. It wasn't just the win streak - we were playing top defense in the league for ~3 months before injuries. When guys went down we locked in further, but as guys have started to come back it seems like the collective team has taken a breath. But we will be prone to these broad game to game swings in defensive impact until everyone gets locked back in mentally on that end. It should take a few games. We've only had Rui and Bron back for 2 games, taking heavy rotation minutes and pushing guys who have had different roles for weeks back into their prior roles. So it's just an adjustment for everyone. Easier to notice on offense, but the same principles apply on defense. You saw what it is supposed to look like (and what it did look like for months before the last couple of weeks) in the second quarter of the Indy game. We are heavily reliant on guys swarming on drives and helping on kickouts. Tons of rotation. I think we'll get back there in a few games, but the reps will be critical as we move into the playoffs.

As I said earlier in the thread and these sort of threads, I don't think we're catching Houston for 2, but we will remain in the top 4. No way we're losing our top 6 position like some feel. Yes, we had a real chance at #2 at one point and that sucks, but typically Lebron/Luka teams have been in that 47 to 52 win range (max) window if you look at their last 4 years. Neither has been a MVP or been able to carry a team to #1 seed or 55+ wins in the last 4 years.

At the same time, the team is so talented that they will be able to win enough to stay in the top 4. I feel we should make a real push for 3, because we have tie breaker over Denver, but it may be tough to get that now and not push the minutes played for the core of this team (Rui, Lebron, Luka all have to be load managed in a way).

I actually like a 4 vs 5 vs Memphis, think we'll take them out rather easily. Issue with 4 is you likely face OKC in round 2. Better was 3, where you could possibly get Houston or team that upsets Houston in round 2.

Lakers should just stay in 4th place, they can easily dispatch the Grizz in round 1, and I still believe they can beat the Thunder in a series. They gonna gauge them anyway these coming 2 games against them. Still dont want them to play the Nuggets, Murray loves hitting big shots against them.

Lakers seem to be winning more against over 0.500 teams than under 0.500 teams. Rockets have a tough schedule, if Lakers win both games against them, it's possible to reach them. Nuggets will be tougher.

I estimated that Wolves and Clippers will have at least 2 more losses in their remaining schedule. So Lakers just need to win at least 3 out of remaining 8 to secure a playoffs spot.

If it happens that a playoffs spot is secured, does they need to play Lebron all the way up to the last regualr season games?

Rui and Lebron need to play as many games as they can before the playoffs. We need our full roster in sync with eachother. More missed games means more rust they have to knock off.

Better to do it now than try to round into form during the first round.

Is OKC going to be resting guys against the Lakers? Or still too early to do this?

I think 1 game will tank/rest and the other they will go all out. Psychology wise not a good idea to drop 2 straight to a team you will play in the playoffs possibly so close to the playoffs.

Houston is coming off a B2B. We should be able to beat Houston and get at least 1 OKC game. Feel we’re gonna get to at least 51 wins.
