Houston is going to try to finish strong to prove to the league that they are for real. We shall see.
The Grizzlies, with 3 games left, are up half a game up on GSW right now, but GSW holds the tie-breaker (3-1).
However the Warriors don't control their own destiny in order to clinch a top-six seed.
They must win out (vs Portland and LA Clippers) and get some help from other teams. |

Does Ime want a ring or to show the league who they are? IMO not playing his starters because he's already wrapped the 2nd seed indicates he wants a ring more than showing who they are. They've shown the league who they are. Winning the Larry O'Brien would cement who they are.

Yeah, no real reason to play your starters against someone starving for a win and fighting for that 3 seed with likely Playoff intensity while you're already locked into your spot. They've also already proven recently that they clearly belong among the top seeds. I'd be VERY surprised if they play everyone but who knows anymore when it comes to opposing teams injury reports when playing us.. It's always a bit of a wild card until we actually see the proof.
My prediction is we lock up the #3 seed while the Rockets starters watch the future Western Conference Champions beat their bench. |
