Prefer the Nuggets cuz they have Brick and Murray isn't that good anymore. We could just triple team Jokic and make him irrelevant. Easy 4-0 imo. Last year we didn't want them but this year we want vengeance!!

Lakers are a better team than any of them when they are serious and rested.

Looks like Warriors hold the tiebreaker with Minny? Since Warriors would be 6th even if Warriors and Wolves both win tomorrow. Warriors vs Clippers is the game to watch.

I think Minny is the easier series. They are still big, but I think KAT gave us the most problems last year.

From my understanding on their tie breakers:

Nuggets > Warriors
Warriors > Minny
Minny > Nuggets

But if all 3 have the same record, Minny has the main tie breaker…

Ant man suspended for last game. It’s against the tanking Jazz but we’ll see what happens. If Wolves lose, Warriors can lose against the Clips and still be the 6th seed smh

I'm rooting for Ant in general but he really isn't the brightest bulb out there sometimes.

The TWolves are beating a tanking Utah team in Minny, and the Nuggets are beating a Rocket team that won't put their impact players on the court.

The only question is who wins in the Warrior vs. Clipper matchup, which means we play Golden State if they pull it out, or play the Timberwolves if they don't.

Wolves beat Nuggets last year so I ain't taking any chances. Warriors just beat us so I'd rather not face them.

My preferred order: Nuggets, Wolves, Warriors.

Murray turns into prime MJ when he plays us so unless we know for sure he's out or limited in the 1st round best to avoid Denver.

Wolves/Warriors/Nuggets is my order of preference.

The way LaL is Jekyl and Hyde they will make all 3 of those series long and interesting and could lose to GSw or Den. Taking my chances matchup wise with Randle and Rudy in there and I’ll go TPups

I'm starting to prefer the Warriors over the Wolves. The Wolves are one of four teams to be top 10 in both offense and defense, they have the bodies to throw at Luka, LBJ, and AR, and they have a pretty deep rotation with guys who can swing games like NAW, DDV, and Reid off the bench.

The Warriors are smaller than us, have a lot of unproven commodities (pretty much everyone but Steph, Jimmy, Draymond), and they don't really have anyone that can guard Luka. We sell out to stop Steph and I think we'll be okay.

There won't be an easy series for us. Each team can give us trouble. But at the same time, if we're firing on all cyclinders, there's no one we should be scared of. At this point, neither a first round exit nor a ring would surprise me.

I think people are underestimating MIN for the reasons you just said. The only possible easy match-up died when MEM dropped to the play-in.

MIN, GSW, or DEN are all going to be pretty tough.

But, the Lakers can beat any of them if they play the level of defense they played when they were playing their best basketball.

It's Golden State in every scenario except..

Both Minny and Clips win then,

--if Denver wins it's Minnesota

Or

--if Denver loses it's Denver

I'd also prefer the Warriors.

DEN is playing HOU, and HOU is resting their guys, DEN is gonna win
MINN is playing the Jazz, and favored by 22!, they are winning that game
the only game i doubt is LAC v GSW

I agree about Wolves vs Warriors.

Randle can take Lebron match up wise physically.
Edwards can take the challenge of Luka (and make him work on other end).
They have some decent bigs in Gobert/Reid. 2 different looks from their bigs, one all perimeter and one all inside and size.
Defenders like NAW to throw at Luka to change up the defense.
Savvy high IQ PG in Conley who will make good decisions with the ball. They could use NAW on Reaves, Edwards on Luka and Randle on Lebron.
As Luka can go off on teams, Edwards is much the same when he's on. They have equally explosive #1s.

There's more match ups here that I don't like, vs Warriors. Warriors I'd say we win in 6. Wolves we should win, but I think they may give us more issues if they play well. The Wolves are a more physically talented and balanced team than the Warriors, even though they've not been as good with Randle as KAT. Really if Randle doesn't force the issue, they're more potent. Just with Randle, he's like an enigma. You have no idea what you're getting each game. He easily could shoot awful the entire series, and that's your defense left off the hook right there. KAT was much more consistent at scoring and being a threat.

Should point out Luka averaged 32.6 in his series against the Timberwolves last year on some really scary shooting percentages. The Wolves are big, but they're not as athletic as say the Celtics. As long as Luka is Luka, he'll get his number, like most superstars it all depends on whether he brings it. Shooting superstars though can have off shooting series like Paul George and Kawhi though, but really I expect us to beat everyone but the Thunder. If we don't I feel like it's more to do with our performances than the opposition.

Its not as much athleticism as the fact that twitchy, skinny athletic long wings have no effect on Luka. Hence why guys like Cason Wallace, Derrick White, Jaden McDaniels and Nickeil Alexander-Walker have 0 effect on Luka. And as for the Celtics its just one guy: Jaylen Brown who the Lakers can screen off whenever they really want to for separation for Luka. What was incredible from OKC 2 game set was that even Dort seemed to have 0 effect on Luka. If Luka can have no trouble with Dort, Im more optimistic about how he handles Jaylen Brown and any switches including Tatum.
