no faith at all because he's not the one making the decisions. he's just a front man who delivers whatever Jeannie Buss and her insiders asking of him.

In eight years as the Lakers GM, he has won one very lucky championship while having two of the best players in the game still in their prime. The Dwight Howard signing was just pure luck. At the time, he literally only had Howard and Noah as options for center. He picked Howard and didn't even give him a fully guaranteed contract. VERY LUCKILY for Pelinka, Howard turned out great.

In 2025, he tried that (bleep) again with Mark Williams. He gambled on an unknown big with injury history praying that he would turn out like another Howard.

So you guys know how is Pelinka going to find two bigs this offseason? Yep, he's going to gamble away our assets on some injury proned big or a big with other issues that make them cheap. Then he's going to pray that they turn out great. We're not getting one like Kessler because Ainge wouldn't give him up for our three most valuable assets in AR, Knect and a frp.

Speaking of Knect, Pelinka had the opportunity to draft a big last year when we were clearly in desperate need of a backup center. Instead he opted to draft "the best available talent" instead. NOW, he wanted to trade Knect and a frp for just Mark William, which was one frp.

If the Lakers won a championship by 2028, then I would tattoo "Pelinka is the greatest GM ever" on my left forearm.

The poll is invalid because it does not have all options. I will go with option C: ZERO.

Although I loved the Luka trade (As long as he signs long term), aside from the bubble season his body of work has been mediocre.

I always wonder how much credit to give GMs for obviously lopsided trades where it just falls into their lap. Like the Pau Gasol trade, where Mitch originally supposedly offered Odom for Mike Miller and the Gasol offer was the Grizzlies’ GM idea (which was later validated as good for them).

Nico called up Rob. What’s Rob going to do, say no? I will give him credit for preserving assets.

No faith. Like Wolf said in previous posts. He hides behind players whenever a deal goes bad. He has the best job.

When it's a good deal - Goat Rob greatest gm around

Bad deal - Player X/Y/Z wanted them Rob couldn't do anything.

already seen it with Luka and Mark Williams.

Zero faith.

Bro, we gave up a very valuable big and now we've got no assets left to get another big. How is Luka going to help our team win a championship if we don't have the assets to get the complementary pieces? We barely have enough assets to acquire a starting big so how are we gonna find a backup big and a 3nD like Max to help Luka?

Just look at the market for bigs:

Gobert = 5 frps
Kessler > AR + Knect + frp
Williams = Knect + frp

Nobody is giving us 2 frp for Knect but we were ready to give up 2 frp for Williams. Knect was 17th pick and Williams was 15th pick btw.
