Jeff Green and Corey Brewer come to mind.

Depending on who declares of course, but it looks like a power heavy draft. Ridiculous amounts of PFs/Cs.

Moute is a young Artest in the making minus the crazy. We don not have anything like that on the team.

Evans guards 1s & 2s and Moute guards 2s, 3s, and small 4s. Then we have Kwame for big 4s & 5s.

We don't need a young 5 or 1. At 2 we have Kobe and Evans. We have offense at 3 and defense at 4. So a defensive 3 like Moute or an offensive perimter 4 that can weak side swat like Ante Tomic is what we need.

BTW: If Mitch works out Moute and gives him a first round guarantee I bet a Cameroon Principality he comes out next year.

No way.

Luc IMO is one of those great college players who doesn't have a pro positions.

He's too slow for SF and too small for PF. Personally I'd rather seem him bulk up to be an undersized PF much like AC Green was than what he is trying to do in opening up his game as a SF. He doesn't have the handle or the outside shooting of a SF.

I think he can stay in the league though given his instincts. If George Lynch can, why not Luc.

No, only one 1st round, but they do have two 2nd rounders (one from Charlotte which will be a hign 2nd and their own 2nd).

Jeff Green, Corey Brewer, Marcus Williams are 3 players I'd like to get, especially Brewer. I think Green would be a great fit with his versatility and ability to pass out of the post.

Jeff Green. That's who I'd like to see in P&G if we go after a SF.

Luc is more than quick enough, especially with his long arms.

I really don't care about his handle or J.

We have enough offensive minded SFs in LO,Luke, and VladRad.

I want him as a defensive specialist to throw at 2s,3s, and maybe small 4s.

In particular to guard guys like Melo,Artest,LeBron.

A decent J is the easiest skill to teach. He has a great work ethic. It will come in time.

He could be the player the Lakers need for a championship.

It would be good to get a player out of the first round draft pick, but it might also be good to use the second round picks to stash a couple of high upside prospects in Europe.

Fat Joe is saying that Luc Richard has tendinitis in both knees that is currently restricting his play rather severely.

After only limited playing years to have moderate to severe tendinitis in both knees is bad bad bad.

yan jian lian at #4????

no way he goes that high. so many better players.

wheres Acie Law? if Law is there, the lakers should pick him. i dont think he drops that far down tho. and also the lakers need another big IMO but laker may look to get a PF or C in Free agency.

also a couple 2nd rounders that look to be good pick ups are

Adam Haluska from IOWA
Mustafa Shakur from ARIZONA
DJ White INDIANA
DJ Strawberry MARYLAND

Mock draft from about.com is dated 6/24/06. It is no longer posted, they should have a new one after the regular season ends.

Tell me about him.

For the Lakers own pick maybe although prefer to stash a foreigner overseas.

Want to see what he measures at. If he is not at least 6'7" barefoot pass.

DJ Strawberry MARYLAND

Also candidate for Lakers own 2nd not our Bobcat 2nd.

I would imagine he played soccer as youth in Africa but do you get that type of tendinitis playing soccer? All the leaping and pounding on the hardwood and pounding on concrete/asphalt during pickup games cause that.

BTW Ben Howland is denying this report from Fat Joe. But Luc is not skying for putback dunks and blocks like last year. Does not look as explosive.

^He added what looks like 20lbs. of bulk during the offseason.

That doesn't help the legs.

The Lakers traded Miami's 2007 2nd round pick acquired in the Shaq trade to Dallas for Pinnock.

But they still have Charlotte's 2007 2nd round pick from the Jumaine Jones trade and their own 2007 1st and 2nd round picks.
