I'm curious to see how he's doing on average. Thanks in advance.

Thank you! I appreciate it.

Terible. Guy is averaging 8 pts. 1.3 rbds. .3assts. .5 stls. 2 tos. 40.4% FG and a WHOPPING 6.66 turnovers to every 1 assist. That's terrible.

I wanted to check out his stats because Dave Smith is constantly crying about how much better Gerald Green is doing than Andrew Bynum. Yet Bynum is averaging better numbers in every single statistical category and I'm getting sick of his bashing. Bynum averages more pts., rebounds, blocks, assists, steals and FG%, and that's with far less organized b-ball experience, and yet WE'RE nuts for choosing that 7 footer? Anyone know Andrew's exact averages because I'm going to call in and tell Dave to shut the heck up!

Bynum's stats (feel free to double check the totals, averages and percentages that I calculated from the individual box score stats for Bynum)
Game, FG, 3 pt, FT, PTS, ORB, DRB, TR, PF, AST, TO, BS, ST, MIN
1, 5/8, 0/0, 2/6, 12, 4, 5, 9, 4, 0, 3, 2, 1, 30:25
2, 6/11, 0/0, 4/8, 16, 2, 0, 2, 6, 1, 1, 0, 0, 29:05
3, 2/5, 0/0, 8/13, 12, 1, 4, 5, 3, 1, 3, 0, 1, 30:43
4, 6/10, 0/0, 0/1, 12, 5, 5, 10, 3, 2, 2, 2, 2, 32:48
5, 4/9, 0/0, 3/6, 11, 4, 5, 9, 5, 2, 2, 1, 0, 23:14
6, 4/11, 0/0, 2/2, 10, 5, 7, 12, 2, 3, 1, 3, 1, 38:43
7, 3/6, 0/0, 2/3, 8, 0, 6, 6, 5, 1, 4, 4, 0, 28:39
8, 2/9, 0/0, 0/0, 4, 0, 7, 7, 3, 0, 5, 1, 1, 31:22
Totals, 32/69, 0/0, 21/39, 85, 21, 39, 60, 31, 10, 21, 13, 6, 244:59
avg/%, 46.38%, N/A, 53.85%, 10.6, 2.6, 4.9, 7.5, 3.9, 1.3, 2.6, 1.6, 0.8, 30:36

So Bynum's and Green's averages in the stats you are comparing come out to the following for Bynum's 8 games played and Green's 6 games played:
Bynum, Green
Points average: 10.6, 8.0
Rebound average: 7.5, 1.3
Blocks average: 1.6, 0.0
Assists average: 1.3, 0.3
Steals average: 0.8, 0.5
Field Goal %: 46.38%, 40.4%
Turnovers average: 2.6, 2.0
Turnovers per 1 assist: 2.1, 6.7

This bears out what you said so go ahead and give Dave that call.....

I think the Lakers intentionally gave Bynum 30mpg for the 8 games, so he could understand the need for conditioning. He got a taste of reality in the NBA. When camp comes he will be in much better condition. He will start with Big Man Camp, but the pre-season games will be interesting.

I agree angel, and as far as developing his skills and conditioning, the more minutes the better. I don't agree with the "Darko" philosophy, although I can see where it's harder to break a rookie in on a championship contender. The Lakers have a choice on how to develop Bynum. Unless the team really suffers when Bynum is on the floor, he should get significant back up minutes even if it means a few more losses. I would rather focus on how we can win our next championship then how we can get to the playoffs every year.
